  1. Swanson sweepstakes might be coming to an end. And yes, KFidds does have some occasional insider knowledge. He knows KB, so he has some contacts.
  2. With the new base running rules next year... he could be way more valuable than you think as a late PR option.
  3. Here's your 4th OF'er. I loved this dude despite how bad he actually is at hitting. Should be good for the clubhouse.
  4. I mean, obviously, but they have loved this guy since before his draft year. I think they are also high on him to begin with.
  5. I think the Sox view him similar to how Eaton was the 1st time around. I don't think they signed him to hit single digit HR's. My expectation is we see him return to form with what he's done in the past.
  6. He's your 2023 version of Nick Ciuffo. If we see him next season something went terribly wrong.
  7. Sheets with an occasional start would not be the end of the world. The 2005 Sox survived with Ross Gload in the OF on Sundays.
  8. If you’re going to follow any “insider” NBB is the one to follow. He has connections.
  9. You’re more than welcome to ignore it. No one is forcing you to read through this thread.
  10. Now imagine if Moncada bounces back. He essentially is your 6-spot hitter.
  11. He’s a solid player. Dependable. The Sox need Moncada and Grandal to bounce back or it won’t matter who they bring in.
  12. I think you’re right. Convince Jerry to sign off, with a footnote that most of the payroll will be recouped with a trade.
  13. Oh absolutely. They are incapable of admitting fault.
  14. Oney follows him. Not that that means anything.
  15. We also know the Sox don’t operate like most teams. They have multiple hands in the cookie jar that makes it impossible to point a finger at any one individual to place all the blame upon.
  16. Yes, they were lucky in 2006 to make the playoffs. 83 wins is not good.
  17. That’s not happening under this owner or FO, so it’s not a realistic option on the table. Either you take this Sox team as they are, stuck in their shitty ways, trying to compete or you end up with the A’s or Pirates and live in perpetuity. I’d rather stick it out with this group and hopefully Jerry is gone by time this core is completely gone.
  18. Yas is interesting because if you adjust his numbers to Sox park his HR totals skyrocket. Not saying he’d be some revelation, but I’d rather have him than some vet on their way out like Calhoun or Peralta.
