The Sox put him on waivers, if that isn't an indication of what his future holds with the club, then IDK what is. With the new rules eliminating trades, you only put a guy on waivers if you want him gone.

I hope they just decide to DFA Yas when he's ready. There really is no reason to keep him around the final month with him being a FA.

Man they REALLY dislike Perez. I know he isn’t the best catcher out there but you’d think the kid would get a small look to see what he’s capable of. He’s had success hitting the ball in Charlotte.

I don’t think MLB would allow it anyways. Manfred wants to expand, not move a 124 yr franchise out of a huge market. It would be more beneficial to just add a team and keep Chicago. I don’t think Fernandez is much of anything outside of minor league filler. He’s played a ton of 1B this year too, so despite earlier reports I think that tells me everything I need to know about him.
