Slater torn meniscus; Jones back
And it was a really bad game.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Pretty tough to call at guy with a 4.2 fWAR per 162 games play an "all time under-achiever". Obviously staying on the field has been a challenge, and Robert has not reached his potential, but he's still a very productive big leaguer when he plays. He's frustrating as hell because he is so talented and the 24-25 have not been good, but this is guy just entering his prime years. He's far from an all time under achiever.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
I was on team hold Robert until this summer to increase value. But honestly, I'd happily take De Paula or Freeland + one of Kyle Hurt/River Ryan/Nick Frasso/Maddux Bruns + James Outman right now. Robert is a couple more bad months away from being a salary dump if he doesn't improve. He's a very talented player, and I fully expect him blossom with his next team, but at some point something is better than nothing. Outman does nothing for me in particular, but De Paula or Freeman do, and Dodgers have slew of major league ready or close to MLB ready SP that we could get a 20+ starts to. But I'd happily play Outman in an OF corner over most of our current options.

Chase Meidroth getting promoted
Teel is like 3/40 since his first two games, so I feel like he's got plenty to prove still. Quero should be up once Narvaez stops looking playable. Both will be here by June regardless. Which will make for some interesting roster decisions since Lee and Thaiss are legit big leaguers.

Andrew Vaughn is Officially a Bust
Elko will get a chance this season. Sox aren't just going to cut bait on AV 2 weeks into the season. He was playable 2nd half next season. But the writing is on the wall and this will be his last season; there is basically no chance he's getting tendered next season at this point. The play is hope he hits enough the next couple months to move him for a warm body.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
I mean if that front line prospect is De Paula or Freeman I'd happily take Outman too. If we're moving Robert to LAD, I'd like to grab one of those mid top 30 SP prospects like Ryan, Fraso, Bruns, Hurt, Knack, Grove, etc. Half those guys are hurt so LAD might be willing to let one go.

Slater torn meniscus; Jones back
They tried that a few times last year and it was brutal

Slater torn meniscus; Jones back
The hits keep coming to the OF.

Sox "way behind everyone else" Lance Lynn
He's probably not wrong. But I don't think we needed Lance Lynn to know this org is well behind the times.

Chase Meidroth getting promoted
Even if Meidroth is just an average big leaguer 6 years and 150 games of control is always better than 6 years. Not only is that one additional year of potentially playing for the White Sox but it's one additional year of control which would improve his trade value in the future. Of course it matters. I don't understand how anyone could argue against manipulating service time when you're talking about a team that is expected to be this bad.

Omar Narváez getting promoted, Lee likely IL bound per Fegan
There is an open 40 man spot*. Narvaez will likely be on the roster for a week until Quero gets the call. Getz deserves all the hate, but calling up Quero today would be insanely stupid. Like he doesn't understand how the rules work stupid. *space may have to be made today because Tauchman going to IL I assume and we have no other OFs on 40 man.

4/9 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM CT
Yes. He was called up. I am asking if he was actually available today because he played for Charlotte earlier in the day so it seems very possible he was not available today.

Who is tweeting post game quotes? Again, honest question. DVs used to have videos on Twitter of the post game comments every day. Well, he done. Fegan doesn't even tweet anymore and Merkin is too busy planning his next meal and talking about Michigan. And as an out of town fan, I don't have access to the post game show.

Perhaps. Not much use for an out of town fan.

We sure? He played for Charlotte earlier today it appears.

How do you even see postgame comments from Venable in this absolute wasteland of beat coverage? That's an honest question by the way. I'd love to find a source because I got nothing after losing DVS and Vinny.

He'll, maybe Colas will get some run after all. I'd much rather watch Colas than Tauchman or Taylor or Slater anyway.

I mean, I'm not doing any name calling here, but he should have kept his leg on the bag and called time. I'm assuming it's a very serious injury, otherwise that's pretty dumb for a big leaguer to do on a turned ankle.

Lol all you can is laugh. Amazing stuff.

Drury is back, per Fegan
Da f*** is blue sky. Lame. Thanks for the response and link tho, appreciate it.

Drury is back, per Fegan
What is this from? Like a Sox Machine discord or something? Doesn't look like Twitter. With Sox losing DVS and Vinny and Fegan going basically dark on Twitter, there is so little beat coverage on that app now.

The Lenyn Sosa Thread
Sosa should be playing everyday. Mainly 2B with Baldwin at SS. I have no desire see any more Amaya.

Fire Chris Getz
This is where I am at. Terrible hire. I think he's done a good job at hiring staff members and changing the philosophies of the org from the ground up. At this point, he is our guy as long as JR is the owner, so may as well ride with it. His MLB roster management has been awful. I have not been shy in slamming his moves this offseason. And I think I saw you post just yesterday on Twitter that you think he should have signed a couple pen arms to improve the back end, win a few more close games, and then have trade pieces. I agree with that, and think most of his moves on the offensive side were brutal with no upside. But this is what a team that is tanking does. I didn't really expect a better team this year. I think once you accept the Sox are trying to lose baseball games in 2025, it makes the painful games a little easier to swallow.
