The blue gets to sleep in bed with us. Shes our baby. The merle is a puppy and she hasn’t earned that respect. But she joins me in the am for an hour or so when my wife gets up for work. But yes - the dogs are the bosses of my house.

Wouldn't Hamilton's utility come with taking over for Vaughn in LF late in games, which Tony is obsessed with doing even though Vaughn has been better than fine out there. I suppose Leury could do that too. Obviously Engel is starting in CF In this hypothetical. I don't mind Hamilton as the last man on this roster as long as he isn't overused - that is, strictly used in pinch running and late inning defense. I was cool with the Lamb signing - always been a fan of his. But he really has no purpose on this roster at this point other than Moncada's injury replacement.

Yeah, I guess. I am personally not in love with Gallo by any means, but he's probably the best fit. I would hate a Crochet for Gallo deal. I also would really prefer not to deal Kelley or Cespedes. If you could get him for something headlined by Thompson/Dalquist, with secondary pieces like Adolfo/Rutherford/Gonzalez and Ramos/Bailey/Rodriguez/Gladney, sure I'd do it. But I don't see that happening. One thing I do know - Gallo would quickly join Yaz as the Soxtalk whipping boys.

Unless you're moving Eaton to CF, all Bryant does is put Yermin or Vaughn on the bench. Obviously he's a great hitter that you make space in the linup for, but if you gotta give up Crochet for 3 months of him while not really solving the problem...I'll pass. If they're gonna add someone, it needs to be someone who can play CF passably.

I literally said I was referring to last year and that he deserves criticism for this year. Tho that .390 OBP at this point is pretty nice. Yes, people who constantly bad mouthed Grandal last year are clueless bafoons. He was hands down one of the best 2-3 catchers in the game.

Too bad Sox didn’t get like a $5 or $6M option. Oh well. If he stays healthy and can pitch 180+ innings this year, even if/when the obvious regression comes, someone will pay him. And it shouldn’t be the Sox. If he somehow continues to pitch like a Cy Young candidate all season, 4/$60M is probably the floor and that prices in his history.

I get the argument for sure, but Yermin is the clear #4 between those guys and is the obvious odd man out. Doesn't mean you need to trade him, but you definitely aren't trading Eloy or Vaughn to make room for a 28 year old rookie. Now, this is a good problem to have (if it even presents itself). You aren't sitting Eloy next season for Yermin to get at bats, but you can keep him around and chances are decent that you can still make a role for Yermin and he'll be needed for stretches when people get hurt. Which is probably going to happen a decent amount if you're running out an Eloy-Robert-Vaughn OF. That all being said - let's see what Yermin's season looks like come August/September. He's been remarkable through 94 PA, but chances are we still see a pretty real correction.

Well in this case, he has $1.5M more guaranteed and still controls his own destiny once he clears waivers. Baseball players don't really take buyouts. It makes no sense. Just tell the team to release you and pay you your guaranteed $ if they don't want you on their team. As a player, zero reason to take a pay cut - the end result is the same, except for the amount of $ you're due.

I'd say the defense has been better than "good enough". He's looked comfortable, and as far as I am concerned, he should be our LF moving forward.
