Eh, not really sure there is a better option atm, but no need to put him in the 2 hole. Once Engel is back, Leury can play RF against LHP. Until then...I'd rahter Eaton vs. LHP than Billy. I think?

TA, Moncada, Grandal, Abreu, Yermin, Vaughn, Engel, Eaton/Leury, Madrigal is probably how I would line em' up once Engel is back. Flip flop Moncada/Grandal if need be, but I feel like putting the slower guys together makes sense as opposed to Yoan following Yaz.

I would tend to agree - but we're not anywhere near full strength. Based on the current roster construction, I think the 2 hole makes the most sense. Or 3rd, and move Yoan back to 2nd. Which is probably what i would do, but i doubt they move Moncada around right. Back half of the lineup then gets very, very right handed tho.

Updates on Eloy and Luis that put them back in Chicago in late July to early August would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO damn good to hear.

Lamb or Mendick. My guess is Mendick cause he has options and Tony seems to like Lamb. I don't think Engel/Hamilton are all that redundant because Engel is going to play most days until Robert comes back. Hamilton goes back to what he should be doing which is strictly late inning defense / pinch running. vs. RHP: Vaughn/Engel/Eaton' vs. LHP: Vaughn/Engel/Leury. I assume we'll still see Leury take some CF starts against RHP, but you get the idea.

Will Elijah play any affiliated ball this year? Where is he at currently?

Who do you suggest, then? I am not a big Gallo guy by any means, but there isn't exactly a plethora of options. Gallo is basically the RF version of Grandal, so he wouldn't go over very well here, but he is a well above average ball player even with the poor batting average. My biggest issue is acquisition cost. If we could get him for mishmash of guys unlikely ever to be serious contributors to the Sox the next 4-6 seasons - I'd be all for it. But I don't see that all that likely.

Well, to be fair, when you lose two potential MVP caliber OF's, thins are going to get hairy. No team - even the Dodgers - are insulated for that.

Haniger would be nice, but I just wouldn't want to give up a ton for him. He's always hurt, and and even though he's mashed in 2021 the OBP is still poor. Also not exactly sure he's the guy I want in RF in 2022. Makes the right handed heavy lineup more right handed, and also just makes the corner OF/1B/DH situation even more cloudy. Would I take him? For sure. Would I give up and current mlb pieces or a top 5 prospect for him? No.

The craziest thing about this manager situation - I legitimately despised Ricky's in-game management. It was horrible, and at the time, I thought just about anyone would be a better in game tactician. Fast forward 8 months and we have a man who will likely finish his career 2nd all time in MLB managerial wins, and I would literally do anything to have Ricky back at the helm. Still would disagree a lot with his on field decisions, but at least he was a fantastic man who everyone in the clubhouse loved playing for. Truly an amazing example of the grass isn't always greener. Have to imagine Rick Hahn has very similar feelings at the moment.

Sox xW-L is 28-14. Tony has cost them 2 games with his dumb ass shit and not understanding the rules and negatively impacted several others with terrible personnel decisions.
