  1. . . Between the two periods, there is blank space. A vast nothingness. That's your offseason preview.
  2. Wonder what empty promises Getz made to seal the deal. Looks like a good hire, but unless Captain Panic is secretly a JR whisper (hint: he's not) none of it really changes anything.
  3. This season has broken even the Twitter account admin.
  4. Its a miracle this team has won anything at all in the past 20 years...
  5. Yup. Still don't care what this dope has to say.
  6. In reality, there are like 2 posters that regularly make this claim. Not exactly a popular opinion. The White Sox are a charter member of the American League with a long history here in this city. It's really hard to see MLB ok'ing a move to a lesser market. I say lesser for a reason. Population isn't the only factor, and while Nashville and SLC are quaint places to visit, it doesn't mean those places can support an MLB team better than one that has for 125 years, even as the "2nd" team in this town.
  7. They'll can Grady, cancel Sox Fest in favor of another season ticket holder meet & greet, stick their heads back in the sand, and carry on with the status quo.
  8. Fans have no need to apologize for criticizing him for the team's failings during his tenure. Hahn was employed far longer than any other GM with his level of success would have been. He was hindered by his bosses but he is still complicit in their failures. I have no ill will for him, but zero sympathy as well.
  9. Coach sucks for the average Joe. Now imagine making your living as a finely tuned athlete, trying to rest and recuperate in coach flying to a new city after having just flown into a new city during the 6 month grind of the baseball season.
  10. No one hates the White Sox more than White Sox fans!
  11. The article did say they spoke to 40 or so people, many of whom requested anonymity. Hahn would have a lot to say about the org now that he's no longer working in baseball.
  12. f*** that guy. He sucked too.
  13. Do you fly cross country every 3 or 4 days? Seriously, GTFO.
  14. Can confirm. I received the same email 🤦‍♀️
  15. Have you seen his trades? No amount of modernizing the org will make up for an idiot decision maker.
  16. Gee, maybe they should have traded for Dylan Cease (Is Not An Ace) after all...
  17. Assuming, of course, the successor actually wants to fix things over maintaining the status quo.
  18. "Jerry just thinks he has the answers." / That folks, is the whole ballgame right there.
  19. Jerry loves baseball as an abstract idea. It's a version of the game that does not exist, and perhaps never truly did. Holding firmly to this ideal (to him) despite the game evolving and refusing to adapt is how we got to where we are today. The chasm between reality and his fantasy land will only widen until the org is freed from his antiquated notions of what the game is.
  20. You know what's even better? The chairman hiring a competent and qualified president of baseball ops and getting the f*** out of the way. No more lackeys, no more forcing a drunken dinosaur on the org trying to make up for a 40 year old "mistake", set the budget and let your baseball people run the operation. Culture and leadership will sort itself out with qualified hires unfettered ownership's insistence on doing things backwards.
  21. It’s hilarious that the pearl clutching about parking ignores the fact that many fans already have to walk a block or two to get from lots G, F, and L into the park. Heaven forbid that they walk a block or two from an existing lot or garage across the river or nearby in the South Loop. Or that humans can’t adapt to new circumstance and simply won’t be able to function with something new or different about their ballpark experience.
