Hernandez option to be declined
My guess is Leury re-ups with the Sox.

Hernandez option to be declined
So does the job go to Leury or are we going to try to make a second baseman out of Burger?

Avisail Garcia opts out
I've always liked Avi but at this point in time I'm not sure if he's the answer in right field, if we're willing to spend, there are better options. The Sox are in the period that the rebuild was all about, we came up short in 2020 so JR needs to step up and open up the purse strings.

Update from TLR, via some guy who sat next to him on a Southwest flight
What TLR said about Rodon is something I can believe, he's got Boras as an agent which is a minus with the Sox. Rodon just can't stay healthy so how much and how many years can the Sox offer him even if Boras wasn't his agent?

Sox expected to retain all of MLB staff
Wow, never heard that story, if true all 3 are scumbags.

Sox expected to retain all of MLB staff
Just wonderful.

Marcus Semien
I agree, a power hitting right fielder should be the number one priority. I wish Sheets was the guy but he and Vaughn are much better suited for first base.

Guardians getting sued for the name
Guardians is a horrible name to begin with, just go with the Cleveland Mistakes. Seriously, if they can't use the Guardians due to legal issues, I think the Cleveland Lakers would work, makes more sense than the Los Angeles Lakers who brought that name with them when they moved from Minneapolis in 1960.

Minnie Minoso, Buck O'Neil and Four Others Elected to the Baseball HOF; Dick Allen Screwed by One Vote
- Minnie Minoso, Buck O'Neil and Four Others Elected to the Baseball HOF; Dick Allen Screwed by One Vote
Please let this happen, Minnie should have been inducted many years ago. Does Billy Pierce still have a chance with any of the various HOF committees? Like Minnie, he also should be in the Hall.- Would you accept Michael Reinsdorf as the new Chairman/Owner
Excellent post, hope everything you said happens.- Could Sox have beat Red Sox and Braves?
They were mediocre after the All Star break and sad to say I wasn't confident about them beating any of the playoff teams.- So What Do The Dodgers Do This Off Season To Get To Be As Good As The Braves?
Anyone can win a short series and the Braves proved it and I'm happy they did. Now go out and beat the cheaters and it's also payback time for Atlanta and Georgia for losing the All Star Game because of stupid politics.- Abreu next year and in the future
If he falls off in production next year and I hate to say it but I think I would have to let him walk, we have too many other options with Vaughn, Sheets, Grandal and maybe even Burger.- What to do with the abreu/vaughn/sheets/burger logjam in 2022?
We need a lefty power hiiting right fielder and I think we should give Sheets a crash course in playing the posistion, whatever happens if he can't hack in right field we still should still keep him as a DH from the left side and also because when Abreu slows down Sheets can take over at first. Burger is another story, if Yoan wasn't such good third sacker I would put him at second and give the 3B job to Burger but that's not going to happen so maybe one of them gets traded for a second baseman with some pop. It would a no brainer to keep Yoan but I'm disappointed in his production, 14 homers and 61 RBI is not what we traded Sale for.- RON IN 2019: Thinking of cheering for the Cubs next year
Very few have been more frustrated than me, 70 years a Sox fan starting in 1952 and I've seen it all. I've never liked JR and have put up with so much of his garbage running the franchise like a mid market club but it will never get bad enough to become a Cub fan. I was born a few minutes from Comiskey and the Sox are in my DNA and as bad as things get sometimes the Sox have still given me a lifetime of some great thrills especially in the GO GO years and of course 2005. I have seen some great players like Nellie, Looie, Minnie, Billy, Dick Allen and Big Hurt come and go that produced those thrills of which I will never forget.- Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
Well there's this, the off season can't get any worse, hopefully better.- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
Wood pitched over 300 innings 4 years in a row and 291 the 5th year, granted he was a knuckleballer but still......- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
Warren Spahn, saw him pitch a few times at Wrigley.- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
We will never see another 300 game winner, Kershaw might have a chance.- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
Things have really changed, I remember in 1959 Billy Pierce pitching 16 innings in a game that went 18 innings in Baltimore and ended in a 1-1 tie because of curfew laws. Juan Marichal once went 18 innings in a game he won 1-0. Guys like those 2 and Gibson, Jenkins, Koufax and Drysdale were always throwing complete games and on 3 days rest. Now we get 5 innings from starters and think thats great.- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
I disagree on Cooper, he wore out his welcome. As far as Katz, I'm not sure if he is the answer either.- Ozzie says intent doesn’t matter with Abreu beanings
Where's Rick Renteria these days?- Sox to pick up $16M Kimbrel option, per Nightengale. Then try to trade him.
Exactly, thats a 16 million dollar gamble.- Thanks For 2021 Sox
We had that little streak at the end of the season but the rest of the second half wasn't the stuff Champions are made of. 1st half 54 -35 2nd half 39-34 - Minnie Minoso, Buck O'Neil and Four Others Elected to the Baseball HOF; Dick Allen Screwed by One Vote
