The way the Sox operate, I'm pretty sure they would have balked on the Lynn trade for Dunning had they gotten Wheeler the season before.

Definitely. There would have been other repercussions from signing Wheeler, because that is how things always seem to go.

No Garcia, that can't be accurate!

I am sure he will be in the game at some time, probably for Robert late.

...did you not notice them just trade for a $16M closer to the be the setup man to their $14M closer?

"Spend the money" isn't a meme anymore.

Zack Collins can't feel too good about things right now.

I would guess they wouldn't have looked at the Lynn deal and RR might still be the manager after more post season success last year if we are playing this counterfactual out.

What do you mean "player wise"? Is there a non-player lineup lol?

Haha, I believe he means the players as opposed to the actual order they are batting.

Yep, like not signing Dallas.

Yes.  Don't mess with the space/time continuum

Maybe he should have felt better on the field.

This is Sox week!!!

Completely agreed.  He's been mostly terrible this season, and did nothing with his chance when Yaz went down.

He's no longer Gio's personal catcher after last night I'd assume. Yesterday was the perfect day for him to get a start and he didn't get one.

Sexy lineup.

For all the early season bitching about "lack of depth", those AAA players are the reason the Sox are in position to roll now that the upgrades have taken hold.

Got to give some credit to Yermin for help keeping us afloat at the beginning of the season, along with our strong starters.

That lineup makes me happy

It's the A-team lineup.  Looks like TL wants to win this one.

Collins D is terrible and he has not been hitting either. No choice but he grabbing some bench.

Great.  Needed a break from the likes of Leury, Goodwin, Lamb, Mendick, Collins et al.

Excepting it's Seby and not Yermin, because that would really hurt.

You may be sitting in a skybox at Wrigley tonight, but the odds aren't good that you'll see a game.

But he got to see Avi Garcia hit a bomb.

Sox getting a ton of play on MLB Network this week with the winning, Eloy doing good, Robert returning, Field of Dreams Game and Youtube game.

Now let's get to 22 above .500 for the 1st time and kick some Twins ass !

Has been awful when given the opportunity

Yep, Hahn did a great job of building a roster with enough depth to weather the storms of all those injuries.  Ridiculous that people on here expected zero drop off in production when we were without Jimenez, Engel, Robert, Grandal, Madrigal, etc. for large chunks of the season. No team in the league can lose that talent and replace it easily.

Could only do it with the strong starting pitching that we have.

Sporting some nice shades though.

Lineup is one Grandal away from being the true A team. But damn that lineup looks fantastic with Eloy and Robert in it.

As in the best players are in but the structure of the line up could be better
