There's a 10 year track record suggesting that he can. I think Reese playing this much is a Tony thing, personally.

Naw.  I think his knees are just shot.

  • I know this is obvious, but if we don't start getting our hitting in order, we are not going to win a damn thing this season.

This team lacks focus. Get a new manager before it's too late.

  • Let’s not act like Tony didn’t have a large role in deciding who to acquire the last two offseason.  Hahn is a disgrace though and should be fired IMO.

It's completely fucked up that on May 15th, starters are having to take one for the team on a regular basis.

Bullpen is out of gas already and we're not even into June.

This is what happens when every game you win is by 1-2 runs. It's not sustainable.

That has happened in literally every start. Soxtalk is panicking about every fucking little thing.

Well given the recent history of this franchise…

the offense is going to have to carry this today..

Did you get a look at the lineup today?

His knees were bothering him all year last season and he could still do it while hitting extremely well.

but maybe you're right. impossible to tell when someone this old starts to struggle if it's a slump or the end.

Easy inning.

That didn't take long

No Moncada , no bueno. He needs to play against lefties and righties. I do not care about day game after a night game when he's swinging the bat well.

Agree.  We need to keep Saturday’s momentum going.  Why not rest Leury or Harrison instead?  The Yankees are not resting anybody.  Hate TLR Sunday lineups.

It does seem to be asking alot, but after last night, i'm not ready to go back into "f$#@ this team" mode, just yet..

Should have invested in a quality catcher instead of another reliever.

Great answer Offense.

This team is so friggin frustrating.

Was hopeful for a split with Kopech going today but we are gonna have to go to the bullpen early so it's looking for like a royal ass kicking 3 out of 4 games.

Amazing that none of the Yankees top players don’t have to sit after playing the first 3 games, yet the Sox players have to sit once every 3/4 games.

The Yankees don’t have TLR and we do.

Rizzo is getting boo'd more than Donaldson....personally I don't understand that....and I hate the Cubbies.

Again, contrary to everyone's belief that LaRussa just wants to keep sabotaging his line-ups every game and doing this to piss off the fanbase, Moncada is a very brittle baseball player who just got back from a very serious injury.    He is going to require days off in the early going.  He's been less than a week off the DL.

And even with investing in relievers, it's still not enough for that pen as we're finding out.

Much better command + swing and miss stuff from Kopech that inning.

Well, pretty nice recovery from Kopech here, I thought he was done for sure.

Unfortunately, 3 runs for this lineup may be too much to overcome.

I am only complaining about Sunday lineups with their heavy AAA tilt.  Why not rest Moncada against KC instead?  This game is against the Yankees to even the series, and we need all the guns in the game today.

Glad we have a poor hitting lefty catcher, against a lefty today. Follows all of the normal baseball logic.

The problem is knowing TLR does this shit with the lineup, you need way more depth than apparently we were willing to consider adding

Ok seriously though......how the hell is that expanded corner ok for Cortes, but not Michael in the 2nd? What a pile of horseshit.

Division games are a lot more meaningful then the mental pride of splitting a series with the Yankees.

Awful match in terms of manager that wants to utilize his entire roster and GM/Team President who don't prioritize depth in roster building at all

Harrison sucks but he got fucked on that at bat
