  • I know this is obvious, but if we don't start getting our hitting in order, we are not going to win a damn thing this season.

This team lacks focus. Get a new manager before it's too late.

  • Let’s not act like Tony didn’t have a large role in deciding who to acquire the last two offseason.  Hahn is a disgrace though and should be fired IMO.

Ok seriously though......how the hell is that expanded corner ok for Cortes, but not Michael in the 2nd? What a pile of horseshit.

Yup he's getting a huge plate while Kopech didn't get any close calls in the 2nd.

Great answer Offense.

This team is so friggin frustrating.

Was hopeful for a split with Kopech going today but we are gonna have to go to the bullpen early so it's looking for like a royal ass kicking 3 out of 4 games.

It is frustrating walking the bottom part of the lineup.  However, the Yankees are patient hitters contrary to the Sox.  It is also bad that the 3 runs were scored after 2 outs.

When a pitcher is consistently around the plate and close to hitting his spots, he is going to get calls. It's not framing , it's the umpire.

When a guy isn't around the plate and missing his spots he won't get the calls.

2 outs and nobody on, just like the other night.  Very frustrating....just like this team having no chance against Cortes so far.

misspell

It’s getting increasingly difficult to convince myself that this offense is going to snap out of this funk anyday now.

This isn’t bad luck, our guys are just hacking with no plan up there. It’s a bad sign when walks are a rare occurrence

3 run deficits feel like 10 for these Sox.

I don't think hitting coaches matter much, but fire the midget clown just for the sake of doing something at this point.  Obviously you're not firing the corpse manager, but make a change somewhere.

Sox apparently targeted the wrong backup C if they just wanted a glove first backup to frame pitches. The only reason Trevino is in baseball is because he steals strikes.

supposedly, this is what the Sox were getting with Reese

I'm really concerned about Kopech that one was at 91.

wtf is with this site this weekend?

One pitch away from an immaculate inning. Good job guys!

It's tough when you have to face Cy's every game. Today it's Cy Cortes, tomorrow we go against the Kansas City Cy's. You just can't win.

Abreu is lost at the plate. Has no concept of the zone right now, just flailing away and pitchers are letting him get himself out.

The excuse in the past is that Abreu is not effective in cold weather and we have to wait till the weather warms up.  Let’s see if that is the case this season or is he washed up.

Is it terrible that I have no faith in this lineup to score 4 runs?

I bet those family 4 packs do not include Kosher hot dogs....and serving your kids non-Kosher hot dogs is tantamount to child abuse imo.

Kopech fixing himself during the start is impressive and encouraging for his development. The next step will obviously being able to do that during an inning like we see Cease do all of the time now.

Please score some fucking runs!

Need to hit this LH now

I mean, Nestor has been good this year either way. Add to that, we put in the D lineup, Operation Fresh Players, and...this is what you get.

This offense is brutally boring.

They are making it extremely difficult to remain in a positive vibe..

Ha ha. Now Kopech gets the huge strike zone.

Getting 5+ from Kopech would be like a win at this point.

I hope that this is just Kopech having a dead arm game.

He has to reach back for 94 today.

Sox generally do not do well against soft tossing, crafty lefties.

He's down 1.3 MPH from his season average. That's not uncommon at all for starters throughout a long season.
