Fire Rick Hahn

I really wonder how Rick Hahn sleeps at night.  Like even the most incompetent assholes would step down if they were the architect of this failure.  But Rick just keeps on chugging by blaming everyone else but himself.  Dude must have a massive ego to be so blind to his own shortcomings.  I can’t believe we’ve been stuck with this clown for 10 years.

They are all way to comfortable knowing the results on the field don’t matter so long as the money flows in.  Maybe they cared about winning at one point, but now it’s all about selling the perception and putting lipstick on the pig.  His job is PR and roster minutiae, he keeps the bosses happy,  and he he’s paid well.  They all live comfortably in the delusion that their way is the right way and fans who complain are simply ungrateful.

Had Rick Hahn actually had any dignity, he should have resigned in October 2020. Literally everyone in baseball would have understood it. He could probably have negotiated out of any noncompete clause for a reduced salary and taken a job as an assistant GM somewhere with his reputation mostly in tact from having rebuilt the Sox into a playoff team. He could then wait out another GM job if that’s what he wanted. He also would have gotten out of any of the restrictions on spending that people believe are imposed on him. He’s here by choice.

Resurfacing ... Rick Hahn is a spineless twerp, who will ride this out as long as possible because it's the last job he'll ever get.

Rick Hahn is the problem though. And the only job he is getting is here because of JR and Kenny. No other team is putting up with him even after 2020. He had a ton of failure on his resume and didn't do that great in 20 or 21.

To be fair, a lot of Sox fans weren't expecting a playoff appearance until 2021.

All that said, there probably wouldn't have been one with a full 162 game season that year...and not playing the relatively weaker divisional opponents so often.

That Exec of the Year award for "the potential of the rebuild" turned out to be a massive mistake...and led to a sense of entitlement/complacency/overconfidence in player personnel decisions, like not signing a superstar like Harper when Machado and he were both available.

This was also based on overconfidence in Yoan Moncada being a future stud...when he hadn't proven anything at all prior to 2019.

As a side note I don't know if anyone has noticed that Rick hasn't shown his face or spoken with the media yet on this homestand.

But remember Kenny claims "accountability around here isn't a problem..."

Why be accountable when we're supposedly selling so many tickets, lol?

Immediately after the trades, 2020 seemed like an entirely reasonable time for a young team to be making a playoff appearance. That schedule seemed to be set back after a generally really bad 2018, between guys who struggled at a lot of levels and bad injuries (Kopech, Robert).

The only thing that made it so reasonable was Detroit and KC on the abbreviated schedule for so many games...

There are only 7 teams in MLB that are six games under .500 or worse. Of the six other teams-the Giants and Royals are 5-2 vs the Sox.

In today's power rankings, the White Sox are #28. Is the championship window open or shut?

Great observation and yet another sad illustration of the pathetic and embarrassing "Three Stooges" Jerry, Kenny and Rick!!!!

And one of only three teams at -60 or greater in RS/RA allowed differential with KC -60 and Sox at -71 and Oakland having at least Brent Rooker and a franchise relocation/new stadium to look forward to for some fans.

Other than KC, there's no team with a bleaker immediate and then shorter term future....and that's certainly arguable with Witt, Pasquantino and a lot more financial flexibility.

Would have said Pirates/Reds...but not now.  Same with Detroit.

Rockies...maybe?

Angels if they trade both Trout and Ohtani have an immense injection of talent forthcoming and one of the better markets in baseball to draw upon.

It was all an optical illusion.  The window was never really there.

I agree, never really open or open just a small crack. As to Rick not meeting the press. If he is ill or he has some family obligation, like maybe he has a child graduating, then not doing it was fine. If he just wants to avoid it, it shows another reason why he shouldn't have the job. Either way, fire Rivk Hahn

It was open, but then a bunch of bees flew in. Now we have a bunch of bees in here.

The window can’t be open or closed if there never was a window.

They should've known, they don't allow bees in here.

He always had the off day on Monday if he really wanted to face the media.

He definitely didn't want to hear about KC taking 3/4.  This was supposedly their stretch in the schedule to make up some ground... but they're falling further and further behind instead.
