I truly wish the young players on this team suck this up and appreciate what Cueto is doing out there.   

You don't have to be the best to get the job done in this league, but just do your job.   It's that simple.

None of those last 3 pitchers we faced are close to being scrubs.

I think TLR pulls him out for Gonzalez at bat because Gonzalez had 2 hits against Cueto in the game.  Regardless, Cueto was over 100 pitches and Liam should have started the 9th.  Cueto was the hero despite Super Joe, TLR, Harrison error, inability to score from 3 rd. With less than 2 outs,the usual Soxisms.  Cueto saved the season so far.

So if Grandal is out, I assume Timmy catches when he returns and Andrus stays at SS

Trading McGuire is looking like a blunder now, with a burnt out Grandal.  Who in the minors can catch at this level?

Carlos Perez is pretty good. 17 HRS in Charlotte. Probably a better hitter than Grandal at this point.

Practically every game we need to sweat it out with a sense of apprehension that TLR or our D,, or our bullpen, etc. somehow will screw things up.

Time to bring him up and send Grandal to the IL.

Always been a Grandal guy but losing him for good this season could be a blessing. There’s little chance Zavala/Perez will be worse than he’s been. 

 

 

 

You never want to see anyone get hurt but in the long run this may help the Sox. Grandal was struggling the entire season yet TLR keep using him.
