what is with white sox media and constantly alluding that they know more and never saying it? Goodness, maybe Cowley was good for something.

If only he wasn't a sentient trash bag.

  • Matt Spiegel is reporting that Joe McEwing and Darryl Boston are both gone. Sounds like Katz and Hasler are the only coaches returning.

  • Gone. There will be a new hitting coach.

  • Are people really disliking this guy already, or are they just serial complainers? He’s a qualified manager who has been on a winning staff. I’m sold he’s going to be better than what we’ve had since

Wasn’t it mentioned before by someone that Boston was the mole in the clubhouse who reported everything going on in the past to the front office and ownership?

This is no big deal. 1B coaches don't do anything anyway.

What about Daryl Boston?

Supposedly Jerry told his parents he would take care of him when they signed him to his first contract as an 18 year old teenager, but please say NO.

I often watch other teams 1st base coach since I sit on the 1B side and most teams coaches are constantly instructing runners on the situation.  All I see Daryl do is collect their gear and give them a pat.  He has to go.

One may think 1B coach is not as important as a 3B coach but I disagree.

Finally!!!!

it's crazy. we have damn near universal agreement that Menechino needed to be fired. when does that happen on Soxtalk?

Greg Walker had more support, which is hilarious

I think it is good that the white sox did not make a "superstar" manager hire, and will have one integrated with the process of the rest of the org (including maybe outside hires of his own to put his stamp on development).

I don't think the rest of the org is strong, but I do think Getz more than anyone has tinkered constantly with PD and it's a step forward.

I just have a hard time believing Eloy won't have one monster season in his career. Please let it happen where we have some chance of competing and not just to get us a handful of prospects.

I just have a hard time believing Eloy won't get injured and miss significant time.

If he manages to stay healthy (please at DH only) then we could be in for fireworks.

If that's the case I'm not renewing my ticket plan. Sweep em all out the door please.

Small thing, but I hate when managers/coaches have regular numbers. I feel different if the manager/coach played on the team though.

They don't want to have to train a new guy to teach 1B/DH how to play the OF.

Harrison not coming back confirmed.

Well, at least Hahn doesn't look like he's in a hostage video this time.

Anyone got a link to the press conference?

Since we only got singles our 1b coach is extra busy. He gets to spend quality time with runners.

How many times did Hahn and the FO rehearse this elevator pitch about Pedro? lol

Oh no, Hahn just thanked Josh Harrison for sharing his number...maybe I was wrong about him not being back.

Doesn’t take much to see that Hahn was taking shots at Tony there with what Pedro brings to the table
