I'd love Varsho but doubt the Sox could afford him. Still controlled through the 2026 season, 4.6 WAR last year. 27 home runs, 16 stolen bases, plays both catcher and center field well but was even a gold glove finalist for right field... definitely one of the league's most underrated players

I’d be more open to it if there were any pitching depth in the upper minors, or if the org weren’t deathly afraid of pay for starters on the open market.

Yep…I remember when he was super excited a couple years ago at the winter meetings when he acquired Nomar Mazara 

My expectations are so low at this point, I’m just happy the Sox didn’t sign Franchy Cordero.  That’s the kind of prospect scrap heap move I fear for adding a lefty to play left field.

Seriously, kopech came into the league in 2018. Its about to be 2023 and he only has 200 IP to his name.
