Sox sign Victor Reyes MiLB deal, ST invite

Featured Replies

Perfect depth. He can come up and not miss a beat slapping grounders into the dirt and playing bad defense.

I just learned Victor Reyes is not Victor Robles.

  • I wonder if I could rescind my decision to cancel my season ticket package. Going to be a busy day in the Sox ticket office,

He was good in LF last year but awful in RF.

Career .673 OPS, he'd fit right in.

But how is his injury history? May be a questionable fit if he's too healthy.

David Dahl signed a minor league deal with the Padres. Might as well have grabbed him too.

Bargain bin hunting. Sox looking for end of season clearance

So other teams are signing all stars and mvp caliber players this winter meetings, but we get a minor leaguer depth piece. Awesome.

Didn't we recently rid ourselves of someone with that problem?

It’s okay, he’s the starting right fielder until Colas is up.

They'll sign Jay next offseason when Machado opts out.

And you were upset we weren't signing anyone.

Ah yes, finally a signing all Sox fans can get excited about…

Wish he could play defense. Was always impressed with the size of this dude.

Tigers fans I know don't like him. He's like a homeless mans Avi.

I just fucking cant

There is nothing wrong with loading up the back of the roster with guys like this as insurance policies.  It wasn't too long ago the Sox started a game with their 7th, 8th, and 9th OFs on the depth chart.

We do still need 2 starting OFs.  That has not changed.

I don't mind him as a AAA guy come up in a pinch but that's it

Anyone want to take my bet that he's the 4th outfielder on opening day?

Assuming they add a LF and start Colas in RF on Opening Day, he could be. It's even more likely if they don't break camp with Colas though.

I’m predicting 300 plate appearances right now
