Love watching Great Young Hitter Andrew Vaughn flail away at sliders, year after year.

Should have traded him for pitching and gone with Sheets/Burger.

On the road to Pittsburgh currently. Excited to check out PNC Park for the first time. From what I have heard/seen it is a gorgeous park.

  • Not sure if you can DFA the entire pitching staff not named Dylan Cease, but....this is an absolute abomination of an entire major league organization.

  • People desperately need to stop overrating the talent on this team

Can't say the games are exciting.

We can only hope that the team isn't half as bad as it shown during the past few days. But it's hard to feel good about this pitching staff. It certainly doesn't look like a staff of a division winner or even a .500 team. It's pretty bad when you have to look to Clevinger to turn things around.

Agreed. They aren’t.

Legit question. Is it just katz asking players to tone it down or did the entire staff lose 2-3 mph on their fastballs all at the same time? Cease is the only pitcher who hasnt lost significantly

Imagine hitting 4 homers, scoring 9 total runs, and losing.

This is like pre-WS 2000s teams that'd score 12 runs and lose 14-12.

When are the “good” times? ?

Very disappointing start to the season. Some positive signs, but the pitching is going to need to turn things around in a hurry.

Who is the last true home grown pitching success story?  As in drafted and developed?

i’m not pulling the alarm eight games in but hfs does this team make it hard.

Embarrassing.

Pitching

Not that homegrown hitting is much better, but this org used to be able to develop pitching.  Is Sale the last guy?  Cuz I’m drawing a blank.

Does Rodon not count?

Don’t know how he escaped my brain.

Wish to know my friend .

I’m a dick for saying this but JR needs to sell or die soon.  Then get the team sold post haste, fire everyone from Hahn to the A ball bat boy.  Actually, I’d keep Grifol and the new staff just to see what they’ve got.  Hire a new GM, scouts, the works.  Trade everyone but Robert, Cease and Moncada.  Take Cease and and Boris into a room, tell them we’ll give you 5 years here’s a blank contract…fill in the number, any number and it’s yours.
I know this is a pipe dream, but it’s hard not to hate being a Sox fan with this regime in charge.  Fuuuuuuuuck!

Didnt see the game but im assuming it was a lot of Giolito pouting?

Frustrating and maddening are the words I would use to describe these games

Back when it looked like the rebuild was actually going to do something wonderful.

I'm almost out of words to describe this shitfest.

Thank you...JR, Kenny and Rick. The Three Stooges.

Sale...Rodon, but both were nearly finished products when they arrived on the scene.

Chris Bassitt...?  Although he was ultimately traded.

Hector Santiago?
