Any roster math leads to the conclusion that Vaughn is holding Elko's spot. I really think they're giving Vaughn to Memorial Day to get on a heater of some sort.

Carrying three catchers would be beyond stupid even for this club. Just send Lee to Charlotte and cut some never was never will be type on the roster, they got almost a half dozen laying around. Thaiss should not be used as trade fodder, at least not yet. He'd be a good sweetener for any contender needing catching depth come summer.

He's a sunk cost at this point. I'd like to see more accountability.

I assume a last gasping hope that Vaughn can turn himself into something tradeworthy is why they keep him around.
