Teel's 1st Homer

I loved Teel's emotion when he crossed the plate on Colson's ringing double. I don't think everybody needs to be a redass, certainly not, but you can't have a molten core of disinterest like with Moncada, Eloy and those awful vets Hahn would bring in every year that were just getting one last big league pay check. I will give Getz credit for bringing in some quality vets and leaders like Taylor and Tauchman.

What an odd thing to be worried about.  Is there a particular reason with the history of the game and White Sox, it was Yoan Moncada you chose for this?

My least favorite White Sox player of all time. A complete waste of talent, no emotion, always hurt, seemed like he just didn’t care.

And this necessitated bringing his name into a thread that had nothing to do with him?

s%*# happens but I’ll never change my feelings on Moncada.

The thing is, nobody cares that you dislike Moncada.  I’m sure a lot agree with you.  It’s just very strange to bring him up unprompted in this discussion, that has nothing to do with him at all.

I don’t remember Harold Baines doing anything like Teel did for his first homer. What a selfish prick. </sarc>

Back to talking about Teel and his homer, the interaction with the fan was pretty cool.  I'm assuming based on the Rays hat the kid was wearing that he was a Tampa fan.  To stick around to get the ball to Teel was nice.  I'm sure he knew he'd get something in return, but he seemed like a genuinely nice kid.

I am enjoying all the youngsters and their development. Very likable group, Mike Vasil might be the ringleader on keeping things loose in the clubhouse. To me something changed when Grady took over last year and has continued with Venable.
