Sox just need to avoid a sweep in Cleveland, and their chances of winning the division are very high. A sweep gives Cleveland 3 games in the standings, plus the tiebreaker. Essentially, 3.5 games gai

. We are 3 games up. This team has yet to go on a major losing streak yet people can only see disaster around every corner. I'm a pretty cynical person but this..... whatever. Don't want to tell people how to fan

3 game lead is fine, but I've seen the Sox blow a 3 game lead with 2 weeks left, let alone 4. They had a chance to up it to 4 tonight and lost a very winnable game. What's worse is that they could have won with better managerial decisions. When the players lose you a game, it's understandable. When the manager does it, it's extremely frustrating.

Ruined a great pitching performance by Martin. Castillo probably gets rocked tomorrow.

How much run do you need to be the fastest dude on the roster and score from second on a ball to the outfield? If he can’t do that, why is he here?

Not the point in the post. He should’ve been running there.

hi8is you can post your AI made Beavis now, but SS2k needs to post the official one to get us back on track

IF A TEAM CAN PINCH RUN FOR YORDAN ALVAREZ YOU CAN PINCH RUN FOR FUCKING DREW ROMO!!!!

Just crazy that two blown “hbp” calls that were obvious potentially cost them two games

Don't forget the bullshit pitch clock violation yesterday. Umpires have screwed up every game this series.

Please flip flop Peters and Antonacci in the lineup

Most obvious lineup change ever

Yep

Bad base running, bad defense, bad ABs, bad managing and bad calls (Altuve wasn't HBP). The pitching kept us in as long as it could though but too many mistakes cost the Sox the game.

Agree 150%. The 8th inning doomed us tonight on both ends. Bad base running and the inability to hit the ball up in the air on one end and the bullpen on the other end. What ever happened to Vargas upper cut swing? A double play grounder was the-worst case scenario.

When you keep adding AAAA players you get the results on the back of their baseball cards ... and can't turn back time either for Castillo.

The guys from the deadline aren’t playing much nor should they be. This team didn’t need position player upgrades for the starters who are now playing a majority of the games. You’re complaining about players 26,27,28 on the roster. The ones who will decide the division will be the same guys that have been here all year. ant, peters, Montgomery boys, Mune, Chase, Vargas, and soon Teel. Not whether Brenton Doyle gets 8abs in a week or not.

He managed to hit a middle middle fastball for a grounder right to the 3rd baseman...

Ozzie called out the no pinch runner move.

There has to be a public accounting for this bull manure. Where’s the backlash? Terrible managing (again) and putrid baseball on the field and at the plate.

Well you knew they weren't going to recover mentally from all that...

Venable is just so plain vanilla.

Ozzie was so much better about how to instinctually manage a pen.

Selective memory. Might have something to do with who’s in the pen.

Castillo has been terrible though and striking out on Brazoban has made them incredibly weak from the right side of the pen. The point I was trying to make is you’d think the roster would be a lot deeper than it is now, given how incredibly healthy they currently are.

And Will never admits that he screwed up, and doubles down on his bad decisions.

Twins are probably gonna sweep the Tigers. If they do, they could come into town just 5 games back.

Ozzie called it out.

Venable is just a younger and more melanated Rick Renteria.

Change my mind.

I was surprised that Acuna didn't pinch run in that situation.

Ya Castillo has not been good but complaining about not upgrading the 4th outfielder or last guy in the pen is not who’s going to determine the fate of this team. Your finish on the horses you rode in on.

He’s more likable and better at speaking to the media. Same boneheaded managerial decisions sadly.

I get it. But we have enough evidence to show this ain't those teams.

This isn’t really true all the time. See the Cubs.
