Coulda swept em. Definitely shoulda won 2 out of 3. Instead they come away with 1. These guys are clearly not ready for the bright lights. Symptomatic of a loser franchise

  • I blame this on WestEddy coming in and prematurely announcing the I told you so's

  • Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made

This franchise put up literally the worst season the the 125 year history of major league baseball under Jerry Reinsdorf, and now sits dead last in MLB in revenues. Your "threat" rings hollow at best

Just reaping what they sowed by flailing vs teams like Houston, Pittsburgh and STL. Even going .500 against those guys you don't feel as bad right now.

This is a 70 win team disguised as a "contender" because of how bad the division is. That being said, would still happily watch playoff baseball over nothing even if they have no chance at the World Series.

They still end the season with 6 games against the Royals and Rockies, its not over yet.

Look at the Sox players completely dejected. Like they already know it’s over.

Yep. This team is cooked. That loss last night was soul crushing and killed any confidence they may have had to finish the season strong. That's what happens when your manager gives the game away.

I'm under 40 and got it quickly.

I'm pretty sure Mighty Mite was a fan in the Go-Go Sox days.

I am sad for anyone who missed the Animal House era. Great stuff.

The entire AL Central is garbage.

So is the AL West and 2/5 of the AL East.

Well. This truly sucks. At least split witn the Tigers and take both series against the Royals and Rockies and see what happens I guess.

Yeah he is not a manager that can win big games for you

No. Unfortunately I don't think the front office will agree and he'll be back. As much as I like the person the management of this team the last two weeks has cost them dearly. Its been absolutely horrific. But Getz will defend him and talk down to the Fandom like the last regime.

There is a zero pct chance he’s fired. Shirley isn’t making decisions.

Honestly, our rotation is already pretty set for 2027. Burke, Martin, Kay, Schultz, Smith. Problem is, that’s not really that inspiring…

McDougal and Thorpe likely fit in there somewhere.

Sandlin too.

Castillo definitely will be in it. McDougal has no shot to be a starter for me, and I still think the Sox aren’t impressed with Thorpe.

None of this inspires any faith in me. I know they won’t, but they really need to sign a couple starters with the payroll being so low. Don’t rely on the young guys developing and being the best potential version they can be right away.

Spotting them 3 free runs starting a scrub as if this game was pre All Star break, unfathomable.

It's one of his favorite things to talk about. Trying to get him a '59 Kluszewski jersey but those are impossible to find if not custom made, and even that I can't find. Did get him a '59 Aparicio and a '72 Dick Allen though.

Is Grandstand still around? That's where I would start.

Going around .500 against those teams would have won us the division. 3 extra wins right now would be huge.

It's hard to argue against this. When bad teams play each other, someone walks out with a win.

Unfortunately we've been playing bad teams and we've been losing.

Rest of the division has really good young talent just reaching the majors, especially hitters

Feel like we need to go 7-3, maybe 6-4 to have a shot now. I hate baseball

Can definitely get the 6 seed with 5-5 or better. 4-6 might even work. Sox hold 1.5 lead over TEX and 2.0 lead over TOR as it stands right now, and have tiebreakers with both. Would be tough for those teams to leapfrog the Sox.

Meatballs, Caddyshack, Revenge of the Nerds…

That late 70’s to early 80’s era was the best for comedies.

Yeah, that was something I definitely mentioned coming into this season is all of the teams ahead of us in 25 had better farm systems than us. That might still be true with those same teams.

Right......he'll be back

The last few weeks have been painful for all of us. No where to run to, nowhere to hide. Just keep taking it on the chin...and a left, and a right, and another left.....staggering and just waiting for the final blow to land.

Gonna be a somber flight back to Chicago. Maybe being in 2nd place for the first time in a while will finally give these guys a sense of urgency. Tomorrow night they bring back the Southside uniforms - I say if they win keep wearing em

We will be lucky to split versus Detroit. Cleveland will take at least two out of three versus the Oakland A's

From there, if the socks go 4 and 2 versus Kansas City in Colorado they will make the playoffs and have a chance to win the division.

Cleveland finishes out with Boston and Kansas City

On paper we’re in second and a half game behind the assholes… but in my eyes we still control our destiny.

WIN THR CENTRAL WHITE SOX - ITS STILL IN YOUR HANDS!!!

Trading Places, Ghostbusters, Airplane, Blue Brothers, the original Vacation movie... sorry for the Caulfielding...
