Sox will win today because this is literally coming down to Sunday for the division. Nothing is easy, and i fully expect a slow start and a big finish.

Yeah but the Rockies have won 57 so they don't need to win anymore.

Still a lot to play for so they have to be ready.

As trash as the Red Sox offense was in that series Cleveland still only out-scored them by one run. I think the most frustrating part of this recent stretch by Cleveland is that they never look good but still keep winning.

The run yesterday for CLE was a pesky pole special. Only a home run in Boston.

Yeah. I’m sure the entire organization is satisfied and just said “screw it” for today’s game. Only the fans aren’t satisfied. The players are completely satisfied and don’t care about tonight’s game. The organization from the players to the manager to the front office have no idea about the difference between the 2 and 6 seed.

Guards scored 5 total runs in their last 4 games and went 3-1.

Our Sox scored 35 runs in the same time and gained no ground.

Yeah. Letdown games, trap games, and not coming out fully motivated (despite intellectually understanding the importance of a game) are things that never happen in sports. They're a totally ridiculous and unheard of concept, not a well known phenomenon that fans and players alike have observed and acknowledged throughout the history of sports. (Sorry, was the sarcasm laid on thick enough to match your tone?)

This team has been resilient and I expect them to keep on being so. But they do have to guard against letdown effect here.

Guys are having fun. Somehow within 20 minutes of the end of the game, they are "hammered" it's called celebrating. My guess is they had fun and were perfectly fine come this morning.

Trap games occur because you look beyond your opponent. Every game is a playoff game until we are set at WC or Division champs.
