Wait, it's tough to not try anymore because you might hurt the other teams feelings but it's "pussification" to try and score and keep the foot on the pedal regardless of score because you're job is to produce and not be nice to the other team? Another great take.

lol  yeah... what a bunch of hypocritical drivel.

Ah yes, sportsmanship is when you send the message to your opponent that “We’re beating you so bad we don’t need to even try against you”.

Or if you show us up we get to throw a projectile at you at over 90 MPH.  SPORTSMANSHIP!!!

It is done all the time in other professional sports and you know it.

In  the NFL, quarterbacks take a knee , several times if necessary  to run out the clock instead of running up the score.

In the NBA  BOTH teams put in scrubs to finish out the game, and then dribble out the last seconds instead of sending LeBron out to dunk one in yo face.

Yermin did what he did and should have taken matters into his own hands when they threw at him. He decided to swing for the fences on a 3-0 pitch from a position player while up 11 runs in the 9th. Ridiculous.

Some youngsters like to create problems and have daddy clean it up later.  Maybe Yermin should charge the mound next time. Don't wait for Tony to explain what you did and why after the game and then characterize Baldelli's response.

Tony  has been doing one helluva job with this team.  If we win the Division with an outfield filled in with Minor league talent (and Rookie Vaughn hitting .225 with 2 HR) , he will be up for Manager of the Year.

The Twins didn’t “take a knee” in the bottom of the ninth. No sportsmanship.

LaRussa isn't going anywhere.

Deal with it.

Just because TLR isn't going anywhere because we have an clueless, senile and pompous owner...doesn't mean we have to deal with it. It's wrong TLR is the manage and many of us are going to continue to voice our opinions. Deal with it!

Has there even been one player in baseball that has come out in support of LaRussa?

Doubt it, but I don't know if they asked John Rocker yet.

How about controlling the ageism and LaRussa hatred for a few games?

Just a suggestion.

LOL. How fuking ridiculous some of these arguments have gotten.

Sure pinch hit four times and send in starters and relievers to pitch in a blow out. OK..

The arguments that LaRussa is out of touch with the younger generation is part of the pussification of America.

Take responsibility instead of waiting for a parent, employer or manager to clean up your sh1t.

Yermin could have taken a couple of pitches at 3-0. Instead he loaded up to hit a tape measure home run.

None of the Sox , the Manager, the hitting coach or any player asked Yermin to do that.  He decided to spike the ball in the end zone.

Mercedes put a target on his own head and ultimately that might involve a scrum between the two teams next time they play.

Hmmm

LaRoche Family Dynasty tweeting from Thailand where they have anti-trafficking work on-going.

Well, not exactly sure what Drake's up to now.  He was an honorary clubhouse member, after all.

The only thing he’s won is the affection of the 70+ year old portion of the fanbase.  The team is winning in spite of him, not because of him.

But that's the average demographic (almost) of MLB, aging white Social Security-collecting dudes.

Marketing brilliance by Brooks Boyer to appeal directly to this segment of the fanbase.

I'm surprised TA hasn't faced any backlash for very visibly calling the Twins pussies.

They're too busy getting beaten up by the Trout-less Angels...and have such a poor record nobody really cares all that much about their reactions or deep thoughts.

LaRussa is doing a great job and isn't going anywhere.

You forgot the losses that can be attributed to TLR:

- left Foster in to pitch thru a 7 run inning and blew a lead.

- left Giolito out to dry when he was gassed and lost the lead and the game.

- didnotknow the 10th inning runner rule and sent Hendriks out to run.  Send Leury to steal a base on the 10th when already had a man on 3rd and gave up an out. Did not pinch hit for Hamilton in the same 10th inning with game on  the line.

sided with the Twins on the Yermin HR and threw him under the bus in public.

these do not look like a great job.

The LaRussa fans in our group - none of us are over 30. We are diverse group of good-looking young men and women.

Brooks is brilliant but next time I talk to him, I will tell him they need to sell Reinsdorf, Williams, Hahn, and more La Russa jerseys. I would buy those up in a minute. They are missing sales.

Calling criticism of LaRussa "ageism" is ignorant as fuck. Frankly, it's obvious you are not knowledgeable about baseball, you're the quintessential casual fan who doesn't actually think about what he is watching.

And we'll stop criticizing him when he stops being a pimple on the ass of this team, how about that?
