As of today the assembled Crochet return would also beat Crochet in a fight.

Today's dive will be on Colson Montgomery, give me a few hours, in the meantime, read FG's analysis of the man they just dubbed one of the 25 most valuable contracts in baseball.

And as of this morning, the assembled fWAR of the Crochet return has put up 6.4 fWAR compared to Crochet's 6.1 fWAR.

And we shouldn't - non sensical to move those guys unless you are getting an elite piece in a package. If you want to move guys, you can think about a Smith or Schultz or some of that next wave of pitchers and then you have some of that next wave of positional guys. We have a good system too.

We're not building a stadium with a focus on the skyline view and very short right field to be a retractable dome. The dome ain't gonna happen.

From the early discussions, it does not appear that a dome will fit on the 78 or Amtrak sites.

July 23, 2016 - It was certainly a strange and bizarre situation for the Sox. Chris Sale, arguably the best pitcher in the American League and one of the best in baseball went on a pregame rampage before his scheduled start against the Tigers at U.S. Cellular Field. Sale was upset that he had to wear a throwback Sox pajama style jersey as part of a promotion for the game. Sale reportedly said it was uncomfortable. With the heat index over one hundred degrees wearing a dark blue/black jersey probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do either. Sale decided to take matters into his own hands, as during batting practice, he destroyed all of the game jerseys the team was supposed to wear by cutting them up with scissors. He also said publicly the White Sox were more concerned with public relations and uniforms than winning games. He would be suspended for five games for the incident.

I'm pleasantly surprised with his bat so far. I expected him to struggle more than he has. Still needs to work on hitting it on the ground less. He completely sucks from the right side though.

As of now, we have a decent 1-2 with Burke and Davis. Burke has been throwing like a #1 lately, and Davis was earlier in the season. Ideally we want to add somebody of their caliber for a playoff rotation, but I'm not sure I'm on board with trading our top prospects at this point. After Burke and Davis, we get into the doo-doo category which includes Kay, Fedde and Schultz. Fedde and Kay are fine as #5 starters. Schultz IMO needs to go down to work on his stuff. What should we do from within to help the rotation? I think we need to call up either Sandlin or Mason Adams to replace Schultz. Mason Adams is an interesting prospect as he is a control guy, but has added some MPH to his fastball after getting TJS. I'd like to see what he can do in the majors. We kind of know what we have with Sandlin. Dynamite stuff at times, but bad command. I don't hate the idea of continuing to let him pitch and improve in the minors. He's got a good ceiling from a raw stuff standpoint.

Braden is the first guy I feel fairly confident will track a ball down out there since the brief Adam Eaton as healthy starter period. Bat is a WIP but at least he isn't turning singles into triples.

Look man, it feels like RF and 2B have been voids since Dye and Iguchi, so I'll take the dreams provided by Braden and Meidroth right now.

IMO, Sox should consider a retractable dome. Something like the ones in Seattle or Toronto. It make all the sense for fans and for the owners. The bad baseball weather days in Chicago seem to increase every year. It has gotten to the point where I will not even think about heading to a game where the forecast is questionable - i.e., hey, raining a bit now but there is a window to maybe get this one in. Then the cold and snow in late March early April, some uncomfortably hot weather or dodging summer rain storms. A retractable dome would be a bigger investment up front, but it would easily pay for itself.

Houston is three games out of first in the division. They aren't selling.

These are the White Sox remember? Until from a medical standpoint I see things getting better I'll reserve judgement.
