Our Arizona correspondent Sean Williams turned thoughts into words. He evaluates Rutherford, Madrigal, Yermin and more in his latest article.3 points

I have WOW cable and they currently are not carrying the Marquee Network...please let that continue and as a bonus, I would appreciate the Marquee Network signing Dave Kaplan so that I can truly avoid him in the future. Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.3 points

Thanks for all the updates SW! Been awesome as I cut my game in and out at the office.2 points

What a great AB by Robert. 10 pitch walk. Fouled off a lot of good pitchers pitches. Robert's approach at the plate, and the simplicity of his swing, really have me excited for his rookie year and gives me hope that his struggles will be minimal.2 points

Collins with a laser to 2nd to catch a would be base stealer. Had him easily!2 points

You're my favorite poster now, just because you give updates LOL2 points

I would. If he went 0-50 there is something physically wrong.2 points

My favorite part about this is that they both observed and learned absolutely nothing from what is going on in LA.2 points

It's really funny because the Sox learned this lesson in the 80s with Sportvision, and you'd expect the Cubs wouldn't want to make similar mistakes but nope here they are keeping Cubs games away from all their fans watching Youtube TV and Comcast.2 points

The Sox could literally win the World Series and that guy would still find a reason to complain.2 points

Why does it have to be bad? Sox pitching can easily give up 2-3 runs and still be down 3-0, 3-1, 2-0, etc.1 point

5 runs after the 7th inning stretch. Not bad for a game that doesn't count.1 point

I've always found it interesting how a defense of Madrigal is "he doesn't need to hit that well, he'll be valuable based on defense and baserunning alone". For someone who receives that comment pretty often, his defense and baserunning (particularly the latter) have not been that impressive. I think the guys who truly have that kind of value on defense and baserunning alone are Robert and Moncada (who had tremendous baserunning value last year despite the low stolen base total).1 point

Luis Robert, CF Michael Kopech Andrew Vaughn Nick Madrigal, 2B Dane Dunning Jonathan Stiever, RHP Matthew Thompson, RHP Andrew Dalquist, RHP Micker Adolfo, RF Jimmy Lambert, RHP Blake Rutherford Luis Basabe Yermin Mercedes Zack Collins Norge Vera (FUN!) Gavin Sheets Luis Gonzalez Ian Hamilton, RHP Tyler Johnson, RHP Danny Mendick Bernardo Flores Benyamin Bailey, OF Zack Burdi Konnor Pilkington, LHP Luis Gonzalez, CF Codi Heuer, RHP Yolbert Sanchez DJ Gladney James Beard, CF Jake Burger (just gotta if he ever plays again lol) I am the high man on Yermin and the low man on Collins. I think they are the same profile (DH/1B) and I strongly prefer Yermin's bat.1 point

You crack me up with this stuff; everyone on the top 100 prospects list isn't a "potential star" even though you continue to state that as a basis of analysis.1 point

“You don't see enough teams employing the errant pickoff throw offense. This just might work.” - @Harold's Leg Lift This reply was referencing a comment about Madrigal drawing a pickoff throw which led to him getting onto second base... thus avoiding a subsequent double play ball and scoring. == You’re sarcasm here is misplaced. There is indeed a mold of a baseball player who can disrupt pitchers comfort, causing them to make errors on throws and to even miss locations for batters at the plate. Certain players have a threat that is intangible when they are on base. See Rickey Henderson and time a lesser but still effective example in Scott Podsednic... Madrigal will be a disruptive player and I don’t think it’s something to scoff at.1 point

Logan Glass is certainly a name to keep an eye on as well. You get lucky sometimes with high schoolers and that first off-season the game clicks for them and they take off young. It's not often but it's possible.1 point

He did add muscle this offseason. Not sure how much, but it was noticeable.1 point

I caution folks that as this team starts getting good again, there will a lot more attention and fans coming out for this. And with that, a lot of extra dumbness.1 point
