I really wanted a game like this.

Wow, the Sox have outscored the Padres this pre-season. If I was a Padres fan, I'd be very concerned. And depressed.

It’s refreshing to see a GM who actually values plate discipline, good swing decisions, and high OBP’s. That’s the one common theme of the majority of the prospects Chris has acquired. And while we certainty need power and guys who can impact the baseball, at least high OBP can provide a reasonable floor as a starting point.

Go ahead and explain this one to me. And while you're at it, let me know if the previous President ever mumbled any lies to the media.

If ST games don't count, then why are you posting this? Weird that you're making fun of the Sox for their spring record, but then you say it's meaningless when it's pointed out other teams are doing as bad, or worse. And it can be argued that for as great an organization you think the Padres are, anything short of an unbeaten spring record can be considered a complete failure.

He had a lot of success as a starter in AA. There's no reason why you wouldn't at least give him an opportunity to make a few starts. He starts the year in the pen and mid year you work him up to 4-5 innings and let him start. I feel like you can do that with a lot of our AAA guys, give them a chance to have some success out of an MLB pen and give them the chance to start if they've earned it.

Lenyn had some pretty rotten batted ball luck last year and has been looking hitterish for a while now. I thought his play last season earned him a spot on the '25 squad but it seems like he's making his case in the spring too. Not sure where he'll play but we have 3 infield spots unaccounted for...just stick him in one and call it a day.

Hopefully he would spare no expense on the Sox roster as well, if he becomes owner along with his brother.

But I did agree with him about Canario. But if you ditch a guy like Deloach or Colas for Canario then you have 2 players you can cry about to show Getz incompetence. What an idiot he dumped Colas, what an idiot he didn't pick up Canario if either one turns into a player eventually .Quite impressive he gets to call Getz an idiot now or later over a bunch of nobody's or nobody's now who becomes a one season or even a one month wonder later. And you know he will. I can't keep track of all the guys Getz could've got in trades or guys he cut that the guy has whined about. Getz is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Of course some will turn out better than others over short periods of time. There's no way to tell who is going to be a better retread. Chances are most marginal players remain marginal.
