  1. Also: WHY WE WERE HITTING A GUY LEAD OFF AND GIVING HIM THE MOST ABS ONLY TO RELEASE HIM DAYS LATER!!!
  2. He's coming on as of late. I'm not done with him yet.
  3. We actually traded money?! THE NEW ERA HAS BEGUN
  4. He was a menace with ABS challenges on both sides of the ball in Charlotte.
  5. Rule 5 picks are the new market inefficiency. Years from now, Moneyball 2 will be released with Leonardo DiCaprio playing Getz.
  6. Schriff it was already broken open. Adding two runs to a 6 run lead is not breaking it open.
  7. So just looked up Tim Elko's stats...he needs to be brought up, like, yesterday.
  8. Quero has a legit good eye. Not just good patience but a good eye.
  9. I'll give Venable this: he looks like he's engaged in the game and with the players when he's in the dugout. Haven't seen that much other than with Rickie for a minute.
  10. Moneyball 2: The Search for More Money
  11. “You did what Chris?”
  12. Eh, we need any and all skilled positions covered. It's 6 years of control if you think you can do something with him.
  13. One more interesting player in the lineup. Good.
  14. Jerry had to give up his favorite player on the team: Cash Considerations.
  15. Made sense to me...
  16. The fall off of the big 4 from the previous rebuild during what should have been their peaks years needs to be studied
  17. I mean, you commented on the last thread about this exact thing. The last comment. It was you. So, you read it. Just…..bump the thread next time.
  18. Welp, it was a good run for Quero before he got gregd
  19. I know I say it a lot, but I adore Quero. Keep it up kid.
  20. We figured out how to get Chris fired.
  21. That swing was perfect. He just took what he was given for an easy base hit. We need way more guys with that approach.
  22. At the moment… .284 / .308 / .398 / .706

Not wasting a year is paying off already.
  24. I think Jacob Wilson takes cocaine
  25. Moar soft tossing lefties please.
  26. When he's back, I think they should just put Meidroth up there. Baldwin is also swinging it, he should start hitting somewhere 2-5 in the lineup as well.
  27. 104 wRC+ for Lenyn
  28. Dalbec or Amaya. Take your pick. Amazing how many worthless players are on this roster that could be cut with no repercussions or concerns.
  29. A roster has never been bad enough to carry three, but here we are.

Sanders to Cleveland. Probably wishes he went undrafted now.
  31. Also this bros middle name is Tater. Already a fan.
  32. It's so weird. None of them are even "down a little." They are all just straight up horrible.
  33. Hi yes, lip posted this a week ago hey would you look at the last comment on the thread
  34. I'm so fucking tired of Robert. He is killing this team more than anything else.

There's plenty to blame on both sides here but given the broadcasting climate in general, the regional sports issues and cord cutting it didn't make much sense for the Sox, JR and Brooks to attempt to start a new regional sports network under those conditions. That gamble was a long shot and they are paying the price. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
  36. Cause getting a 4 strike K would be pretty badass.
  37. 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts. Keep leading him off, Grifol… I mean Venable.
  38. Any team will think they can fix him and get him on the cheap
  39. Things are looking grim, JR. Probably easier to just sell the team.
  40. Not sure I understand the objection there, he acquired a bunch of legit starters. If you worry about next year, rookie lineman aren’t always a better option, Even with LT, the idea was to get protection against Jones injury, but by time they selected, only Connelly would have been a maybe upgrade and available this year,
  41. He was actually okay...Robert made a crucial error. Should have left with 3-2 lead tbh.
  42. Luke Keaschall out indefinitely with forearm fracture on hbp earlier tonight.
  43. I love both Quero and Baldwin. Vargas hit it pretty hard too. I am ready to move on from Vaughn and Robert and start getting players in who want to be here.

Corey Julks swinging it well in AAA. Probably better than some of their options in Chi.
  45. Unfortunately, the longer you wait on OL and DL, there are no steals to be had. Still surprised how much Poles is banking on his offseason veteran mish-mash OL crew. Pretty sure I already know what the weakness will be for the second straight season. Good luck.
  46. Two picks in trenches - am good with that.
  47. DT Shemar Turner
  48. Seems like they went BPA for them which, if evaluated correctly, can sometimes be the best path forward. But they still aren’t showing a commitment to draft in the trenches, which is concerning

Bonemer just took a HBP to the head. Walked off on his own, but he's out of the game and presumably headed for a concussion check.
