  1. Yeah I'm bummed. I'd rather have two stud LHB than Segura at 2nd.
  2. We can afford both guys...they just need to unload Kimbrel and Keuchel without taking a ton of salary in return. I wouldn't mind giving Kimbrel to PHI for free so long as they took Keuchel too.
  3. Yes but he will be hidden at DH half the time. This is what could work: A. Trade Kimbrel for prospects only to save money. B. Take said prospects and maybe add a few others, ship to LAD for Lux. C. Sign Conforto (RF) AND Schwarber (LF/DH rotation with Eloy). D. Trade Vaughn for top flight pitching (I don't want to lose him but it seems JR and TLR are pushing all the chips in into the middle for the next few years. E. PROFIT.
  4. Wasn't Harold suggesting there is legit White Sox interest in Schwarber? If they deal Vaughn for top flight pitching, then they could rotate Eloy and Schwarber at LF/DH and still add Conforto in RF. Ofcourse, the money probably only works if Kimbrel is traded for someone who isn't a large salary commitment. Honestly, I'd rather just get some prospects from Philly, take back no salary and use that extra money to fill holes. Priority 1, 2 AND 3 are LHH savages.
  5. Which means since we have a "budget" we shouldn't blow all the financial savings from unloading Kimbrel on someone who is avg vs RHP. If that's the case, just get Kemp or whatever and use your ammo to secure Conforto.
  6. But we do need to have legit righty killers at at least some positions.
  7. So a high priced salary for another RHH who is nothing special against righties? Great job, Rick. And then they will use Segura's salary as an excuse for why they couldn't sign Conforto. If Philly really wants to make a trade the bring in a third team so we can get something that we actually need.
  8. Lux would be nice for 2B. Wonder what it would take? I thought I read they dont want to deal him tho.
  9. What's so baffling? Tony loves relievers and Tony is in charge. It has nothing to do with Hahn.
  10. That's alot of money. Really want to see Conforto deal get done.
  11. Yes, he is one, but where is the second one? I think Harold suggested Schwarber in another thread but the issue is where to put him considering the glut with DH types and Vaughn.
  12. No way. 31 year old (hello aging curve) right handed 2B with career what 770 OPS or so. Umm no. I need two SAVAGE LH bats this offseason. Not switch hitters that are better against lefties than righties. Not sub-850 OPS vs righties. SAVAGE LH bats. Figure it out. I'm tired of this problem. Solve the issue.
  13. No on Segura. We need quality LH hitter at both RF and 2B spots.
  14. How many innings did Kopech need this year to be stretched out for starter duties next year?
  15. At a minimum they should keep his innings next year below the level that would trigger the 4th year.
  16. Tell me when he's ready to hit left handed.
  17. Escobar is markedly better against LHP than RHP this season. I'm struggling to understand why we can't just get someone who can actually rake against RHP...considering that you know, that's actually our big weakness.
