Mike Clevinger under investigation for domestic violence
I'll agree to disagree. I have a feeling he'll be axed and I think maybe this Clevinger situation will accelerate it. Kenny has a job for life if he wants it. Most likely is Hahn "steps down" which allows him to save face. Similar to Robin.

Fire Rick Hahn
I think you'd be hard pressed to find a worse General Manager. Certainly in White Sox history, but even throughout the game he has to be up there.

Mike Clevinger under investigation for domestic violence
I'm absolutely in agreement that full investigations need to take place in these instances to condemn a person. But just a little bit of digging through the internet and this looks like a horrible miss on the part of the White Sox. There have been signs that this is semi-regular behavior for this dude and even the smallest amount of vetting probably would've indicated this was a bad idea. Personally, i dont think Hahn walks out of 2023 as the White Sox GM. But the sooner the better.

Grifol told Eloy to get some work in RF
Nice to have my confidence in Grifol shattered before spring training even starts.

I kinda figured but I'd still take it.

Is Jurickson Profar at all a possibility at this point? Seems to me a lefty who can cover the outfield and 2nd base would fill multiple needs with one player but the unwillingness to spend any money leads me to think no.

Rumor: TLR will (NOT*) be present for ST *update
Couldn't agree more with all of this. Leury is the longest tenured player currently and we should be rooting for him to be on a winner. Forcing him into an everyday role made him wear the hole in the lineup and shoulder the scorn from the fan base. Not fair to him.

That is perfectly reasonable agreement if they were at all serious about winning, or "rebuilding trust." If romy/sosa is how they walk into the season at 2nd base any good feeling I got from the benintendi deal will be greatly diminished. Different year same garbage.

White Sox acquire reliever Gregory Santos from SF
2007? The year of Mike MacDougal, Andrew Sisco, David Aardsma and yours truly.

Liam Hendriks coming up in trade discussions
That's fair. It's not ideal but in a swap of some bad money I'd take it.

Liam Hendriks coming up in trade discussions
Does offering Kelly and/or graveman get Esobar? If the Sox can't get want they want for Hendricks shift in that direction. If that doesn't work walk away. I agree with others on the board it's a necessity to win this trade.

Jesse Rogers: Sox Sign Benintendi - 5yr / $75M
Thrilled with this.

Gallo to twins for 1 year 11 million. Starting to believe this 10d rumor a bit.

Sox working on signing a LF
Ideally yes, I agree.

Sox working on signing a LF
If this team is to complete this year they need power from Robert, Eloy and Vaughn period. And if they get that Benintendi will compliment that nicely. Not to mention Benintendi can absolutely pop off 16 or 17 home runs which would've topped the ballclub last year. Gallo himself only hit 19.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Adam Frazier to Baltimore. 1 year 8 million. So there's that.....

Sox working on signing a LF
I'll be mad if it's Gallo.

He is. And when that works fine. But when it doesn't......well here we are.

TA likes ominous tweet: The trade Anderson thread
Like I said excessive celebration is part of the game now like it or not. And I think in cases like bat flips it has less to do with excitement than it does arrogance. It's why I loved Frank Thomas compared to Sammy Sosa. One hopped around like a fool, the other put his head down and circled the bases. Whoever said the opinions here are more related to the age of the fan was on track. It's part of the game now so I can tolerate it and not be a huge fan of it. It's really the least of my problems with TA.

That's fair. Most of them don't get blasted on social media though. That and the fact that his play seemed to be effected by it made it more relevant to fans. In conjunction with this he lost me when he flipped off fans in Cleveland. That coupled with his seemingly apathetic approach this past season is what turned me off. The bat flipping is what it is. Like or not it's part of the game now. People not to stop with the race crap. He's done enough dumb garbage for some fans to be turned off by his character.

Liam celebrating a save he almost blew in an outrageous fashion ist just as annoying as a mid-game early season TA bat flip.

Joey Gallo Rumor Thread
Fair. But how many players do we already have whom we hope return to career norms? Grandal? Moncada? Giolito? Robert and eloy staying healthy. Now add another we "hope" gets back to normal. Why not get a Nimmo or Benintendi who are still playing solid ball? If that meant relying on Sosa and a veteran crapshoot at 2nd fine. I'd rather one of those 2 outfielders than signing multiple reclamation projects.
