  1. Everybody here knows what should happen. Everybody here knows it won't. And Everybody here will have to sit and watch and hope Hahn magically changes his approach after 10 years of being the worst GM in baseball.
  2. Problem is with the current front office I'd have no hope in a rebuild. It'd just be more bad baseball but cheaper.
  3. Eloy needs to be full time DH and Vaughn full time 1b. Give Jose a heartfelt thank you but it's time to transition. Sign a real right fielder as well and let Pollock fill in as needed for depth. Benintendi by himself not difference maker but a good piece if you're making a few moves.
  4. Any chance in hell they go after Benintendi? Seems to make a lot of sense but we all know how much that means.
  5. Perhaps the most frustrating part of this season was the fans calling out this team very early, and the front office, broadcast booth, and a good portion of the media told us to "calm down, they'll be fine."
  6. They can NOT rebuild yet again. There is no way in blue hell that talent evaluation would change enough, even with a front office overhaul, that another rebuild would work out better. And even the casual fans of this organization are beginning to tire of all this. Change the attitude and approach by reworking this roster. I'm all for trading TA, maybe throwing in a salary dump with him for a solid 2nd baseman. Let Elvis play short for a season, sign a Nimmo type and tinker here and there. Yes, I'm well aware they'll be their usual dumpster diving selves, but the thought of blowing it up again and waiting another 2 or 3 years to compete again is too much even for a lifer like myself.
  7. Being there tonight, even as they tied it in the tenth I wasn't happy. I still knew what was coming. I keep coming back to that double header against Cleveland week 2. Where TA had a few awful errors and Dallas got lit up and they got swept.....that's who they are. A cocky team who thinks they can throw their glove on the field and the Win will be handed to them. Normally a conscious manager can identify this and work to correct it. But from the poor roster construction, to the awful manager, to the entitled players it was a perfect storm which lead to the least enjoyable season I can remember.
  8. Copy that. Looked like a few to Seby were pretty enticing
  9. At the game so not always easy to tell, but sure seems like Civale is hanging a lot of pitches.
  10. Only me and Travis Hafner know the answer to that question...
  11. I've played on teams where bad managers are making bad decisions and yes, everyone knows it and it brings everyone down. That being said you're right, it seemingly effecting them this much is quite alarming.
  12. The approach with runners in scoring position is just horrid. It's like they turn off their brains at the worst moments.
  13. Was there for the bar crawl tonight and watched BP. Some notes of interest: Romy was crushing bombs in BP, looked great. Nice to see him follow through in the game. Kopech looked healthy running down fly balls. Hope they're right and he pitches in Seattle. Moncada took BP, did not look great. Not hitting the ball with any authority. It was nice to see Cairo in the outfield with the boys running around with a fungo having a good time. It's very refreshing. Crowd was electric and I'm starting to invest again after giving up after the Kopech/KC disaster.
  14. No. I'll be emailing Brooks shortly. Will only renew if there is a new manager. It won't be hard this is the first time we've had them since 09. We have tickets for Friday we don't even want. I have no desire to watch this team in person sans Cease, Abreu, Cueto and Vaughn.
  15. How bad is it that I don't even really care? Watch this team get hot as hell now that the Tim Anderson show is on hiatus.
  16. This team will never win if they have to simultaneously defeat the opposing team and their own manager.
  17. 100 percent predictable from Ruiz thus far.
  18. La Russa makes around 9 or 10 headscratching/awful decisions each game. But one of these teams plays like they want to win and the other looks like they couldn't care less.
  19. To be fair, it's more entertaining than this team right now.
  20. This is 100 percent what I plan on doing. First season tix we've bought since around 08 or 09. I plan on chatting with Brooks or someone to let them know why and I'd love to see others do the same.
  21. If you're gonna sell you need to get mlb ready talent in return. A retool for next year as opposed to a rebuild. Trade off one of Lynn or Giolito with Hendriks and maybe Pollock and/or Burger. Of course this is all a moot point because I knew this rebuild would lead here and I know they'll fail at this too. I just don't know where else to go with my Fandom. Milwaukee?
  22. Why run on the 1st pitch? Let Jose hit with a runner on and if he falls behind then send Robert. Especially after a walk like that.
  23. We just took our 4 year old to his first game a few weeks ago. A weekday game is definitely the way to go. Make sure to get that 1st game certificate is left center field and yes, I believe we got him up to meet southpaw in around the 4th inning. Enjoy!
