  1. I’m gonna say something very controversial here. I don’t really need to see a Lions D-line with Hutchinson and Garrett.
  2. It serves as further punishment for Colas for...reasons.
  3. I miss caring about the Bulls. The whole LaVine era was just nothing. Straight up purgatory, and probably the most boring stretch I can remember for a Chicago sports team in a long time.
  4. We all want the team to be good. Why? Because we are fans. Some of us just understand that certain things need to get worse before they can get better. Thats really all there is to it.
  5. I need one of these to pop up at a Goodwill.
  6. Your follow-through to look it up and do the math is appreciated.
  7. Woof. River Ryan is a nice prospect, but is 26, injured, and a pitcher. Oh yeah, and Gavin Lux is Gavin Lux. The hardest of passes.
  8. What is this in reference to?
  9. Cool to see the Durham bobblehead.
  10. Of course no team would say that because team front offices aren’t made up of children. Why are we pretending like there’s not a professional and semi intelligent way to communicate this?
  11. I was gonna make some lame joke about Vaughn's chase rate, but I've reread that quote too many times and now I don't even know who I am anymore.
  12. Quite literally taking one for the team.
  13. Amazing how a fan on a message board can quickly whip up a statement that is infinitely better than what we heard from a professional, high profile organization who presumably has staff they pay to do this exact thing.
  14. It seems like you’re talking about payroll size and not market size?
  15. I'm surprised there's not a statue of Cash Considerations on the concourse yet.
  16. If the kid was from Pittsburgh I could understand taking the experiences. Since he's from LA, what the Pirates are offering sounds more like a hassle than anything else.
  17. The Sox networking is going to a conference and only talking to your coworkers. Very relatable btw.
  18. “C’mon kid. Don’t you wanna move across the country as an 11 year old so you can go to Pirates games instead of Dodgers games?”
  19. Now this is what I call committing to the bit.
  20. Dang. He is now officially a Dodger I guess.
  21. It's true. I was trying to be generous for the sake of argument.
  22. That's kinda the point though. It's not your money, it's the money of the guy who is very careful about how and when he spends it. Suppose Jerry allows the signings of Alonso, Santander and Kim (the first two of which aren't likely to age all that well). Great. They've forced their way to a 72 win team by Jerry doing something very uncomfortable (for him) with his money. Do you really feel like he'll then add even more payroll to continue supplementing the roster as the younger talent develops? And then add even more after that to help offset the declines of Alonso and Santander?
  23. I wonder how long he stays in the OF. If he ends up locked into their DH spot for the majority of the contract, they better hope his offense ages well.
  24. That’s almost impossible. Some key players will have developed a bit by then, even if it’s in spite of the Sox ways.
