Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
It seems like you’re talking about payroll size and not market size?

Why so little love for Sosa?
I'm surprised there's not a statue of Cash Considerations on the concourse yet.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
If the kid was from Pittsburgh I could understand taking the experiences. Since he's from LA, what the Pirates are offering sounds more like a hassle than anything else.

Sox development staff breakdown...
The Sox networking is going to a conference and only talking to your coworkers. Very relatable btw.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
“C’mon kid. Don’t you wanna move across the country as an 11 year old so you can go to Pirates games instead of Dodgers games?”

Greatest baseball story of the year: HOFer Ichiro #51
Now this is what I call committing to the bit.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Dang. He is now officially a Dodger I guess.

Anthony Santander signs with TOR 5/$92.5
It's true. I was trying to be generous for the sake of argument.

Anthony Santander signs with TOR 5/$92.5
That's kinda the point though. It's not your money, it's the money of the guy who is very careful about how and when he spends it. Suppose Jerry allows the signings of Alonso, Santander and Kim (the first two of which aren't likely to age all that well). Great. They've forced their way to a 72 win team by Jerry doing something very uncomfortable (for him) with his money. Do you really feel like he'll then add even more payroll to continue supplementing the roster as the younger talent develops? And then add even more after that to help offset the declines of Alonso and Santander?

I wonder how long he stays in the OF. If he ends up locked into their DH spot for the majority of the contract, they better hope his offense ages well.

Tanner Scott to LAD. 4 years/72m
That’s almost impossible. Some key players will have developed a bit by then, even if it’s in spite of the Sox ways.

Tanner Scott to LAD. 4 years/72m
Looking forward to the Dec 2026 lockout that lasts well into the 2027 season just as the Sox will finally be looking interesting again.

24-25 NFL Thread
If they were planning on making a sham of the Rooney rule, you’d think they would have gotten it over with earlier on so they could be prepared to pivot to Ben Johnson instantly.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
Just another borderline unreadable thread derailed by posters trying to out-snark each other.

24-25 NFL Thread
Again, no. Daniels is phenomenal, but this version of him would not have been present had the Bears drafted him. It really shouldn’t be that complicated of a concept to grasp as a Sox fan.

All things LA Dodgers Thread...
I think it’s more of it being relatively significant baseball news independent of anything white Sox related.

All things LA Dodgers Thread...
I see him going to the Pirates instead.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
This is just boring.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Hopefully Venable is a little better than Jack at establishing chemistry and vibes.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
I get that. There are definitely some things that, in theory, should make the season interesting, but I just can't get myself to care all that much. Maybe that changes a month or two into the season if some dudes start to stand out a little more.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Looking forward to another dull Sox offseason finally ending, but not even remotely excited about the start of this next season. Baseball fan hell is alive and well.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
“Roki Sasaki has informed the White Sox that he has never heard of them.”

24-25 NFL Thread
Ah yes, the two very similar environments: 1) The one with the offensive coordinator who is being requested for head coach interviews 2) The one that had three different offensive coordinators throughout the season

24-25 NFL Thread
The only thing clear as day is that the Bears would not have put any QB they drafted in a position to succeed. They'd still be sitting at home if they had Stroud or Daniels and you'd be saying they should have drafted Caleb instead.

Could Getz Have an Actual Master Plan?
Well this thread went about as well as expected
