We all know whatever they say will just be a company line, but actually showing up and saying something at least lets fans know that they recognize that things aren't going well.

Here's my certain to be futile attempt to guess the lineup: Pollock 9, Vaughn 7, Robert 8, Abreu 3, Burger 5, Grandal 2, Moncada DH, Harrison 4, Mendick 6. Figuring Moncada for DH instead of Burger to ease him back into playing every day.

Is it possible that several of our guys are underperforming because they're tired of playing for this guy? I get that professional athletes should be self-motivated, and it appears that at least TA and Jose are, but perhaps TLR is wearing some other guys down? Edited to add: I'm not saying this to make excuses for players who aren't performing, I'm just suggesting that TLR's impact might be more severe than we are even saying.

Sox have a .283 OPS with the bases loaded. Arizona is even worse at .190, which is incomprehensible.

If nothing else, Grandal's protest bought him a strike against Vlad.

Mendick, Engel and Burger all have better OPS vs RHP than McGuire (and Garcia) this season. Mendick also better than Sheets. It's pretty clear at this point that TLR is not looking at data when making lineups. Not even a little bit.

Vaughn batting 7th. This fucking drunk of a manager needs to go. This got old a month ago.

So, before turning on the embarrassment that is the Sox, I watched a very impressive 3-0 win by the US over Morocco.

There is still an open spot for Lynn on the 40 so nobody has to go just yet.

If Seattle's willing to sell low, I might see if Frazier can get it together. At worst he's no worse than Leury/Harrison.

Mendick has been hitting better than Pollock/Grandal/Engel/Harrison recently. Make somebody take that spot away from him.

Well, stopping would have been better than what happened because McGuire would have scored, but it still would have been making the 3rd out with Vaughn coming up. But, no, IT WAS NOT A GOOD PLAY. The right play was to not go in the first place. No, HE'S NOT ABLE TO GET A BASE HIT BOTH SIDES OF THE PLATE. Not since last season. Every day this guy says multiple things that just don't fit the facts.

We're at the point now where Grandal should never be in the lineup at 1B/DH, and when he's catching he needs to occupy the same spot in the order as McGuire. McGuire has a better OPS in the last 30 days (685 vs 483) and last 15 days (1079 vs 353) by a large amount. Burger is doing well enough that Moncada can DH until he's absolutely 100%.

If you made a Venn Diagram of people who are medically unable to get vaccinated and people who are professional athletes, it would be two circles that are quite far apart from overlapping at all.

Still no wins when allowing > 4 runs.

Good job by Mendick to avoid having Grandal lead off the 9th.
