  1. Is Eloy going to tear that hammy even worse once he resumes full time status? Seems like it's not gonna be pretty on the next tear. These well built athletic specimins just seem like their body parts are going to explode at any time. Eloy is 6-4. Winfield was 6-6 and didn't get hurt all the time. Dye was 6-4 and didn't get hurt all the time. Call them up and get them to send over their training regimen.
  2. Great win. Went into church when score tied. Glad to see Sox won and Burger got the big hit. This team does blow but even the most critical fan has to be happy the team didn't give up today. The resilient victory was nice to see.
  3. Disagree. The Sox have made good contact on many of their grounders right into the shift. Why not hit it where they ain't? Are u kidding with the insult? You can't go calling people names. It's not right on a fine Sunday. Since I'm obviously ruining your day, that's my last post in this thread. Have a nice day. Peaceout.
  4. We need an expert to weigh in. It sure seems like the Sox's best athletes are the ones that get hurt a lot. Maybe we need somebody with experience training basketball phenoms and track phenoms to stretch our guys.
  5. Do all teams hit into shifts like the Sox do? Quite sad and perplexing. When you make contact as an MLB player, why not steer the ball into the vacant area. "Hit it where they ain't," used to be a mantra that worked.
  6. I just thought the same thing. Seems like the Sox's great athletes have bodies conducive to these type injuries. WTF.
  7. Really? That would suck, suck, suck.
  8. I'm not even mad anymore, just sad for Tim He is a truly exceptional ballplayer. Maybe it's a cramp.
  9. If Cease keeps pitching well, Sox might win this one. Oh wait, 54 pitches so far. He'll probably only go 5 2/3 or 6.
  10. I like Burger. That said, just another guy that just hit right into the shift.
  11. Good play by pitcher, but he woulda been out anyway. There was a huge hole between first and second, but shift.
  12. What's it like at the ballpark today? Wat you eating and drinking? Is it a glorious day?
  13. I read the ESPN.com version and Tony didn't say anything bad. The main part about him. ... "La Russa reiterated his respect for Kapler's intentions but thinks his form of protesting is disrespectful to servicemen and women. "Some of their courage comes from what the flag means to them and when they hear the anthem," La Russa said. "You need to understand what the veterans think when they hear the anthem or see the flag. And the cost they paid and their families. And if you truly understand that, I think it's impossible not to salute the flag and listen to the anthem." The Giants' manager said today he may not protest on Memorial Day BTW. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/34005391/san-francisco-giants-manager-gabe-kapler-suspend-protest-national-anthem-memorial-day BTW if the Giants manager is going to speak negatively about the USA, other sports figures have the right to counter his points and point out some positive things about the USA. Free country. I think Tony should resign cause his team is grossly awful but I don't mind him standing up for the military and saluting those who gave their lives for our freedom. Peace out.
  14. To a certain extent. My eye test tells me that they let cookies go by A LOT and swing at crap. It's truly like Murphy's Law. I saw some meaty pitches from the Cubs tonight that the Sox just let go by.
  15. I bought the hype cause seriously, on paper, Eloy, Robert, TA, Moncada, Abreu, the various catchers Sox have had, to go with Cease, Kopech, Gio, Lopez (he was supposed to be a stud as u recall), and overrated bullpen guys really looked like a dynasty on paper. Eloy, Robert, Abreu, Moncada in itself was a dandy foursome to dream about.
  16. One of the worst losses of the year considering the big crowd, anemic bats, bad coaching at 3B, bad managing in terms of Harrison in the lineup and leaving Cueto in. Sox don't care. No sense of urgency. They figure they'll beat Minnie like a drum in head to head contests the rest of the season. Sox got a day off yesterday. Gee the rest really helped.
  17. Sox hitters all need a do over on the season cept for TA. What a sick routine high fly ball there by Sheets.
  18. Sox are lost. That was a meatball on pitch one to Sheets. What a mess.
  19. LOL at that pop up when given a cookie.
  20. Hinrich should get a tryout for 2B. He'd hit at least as well as Harrison.
  21. The tank years were certainly low pressure years. Sox were trying to lose and fans had some "name players" to drool over as they made their move thru the system. Only a few fans seemed to be against the tank.
  22. No offense to you, but the Sox need to play ball and not worry about saving players and resting players. It's annoying. Just play the game and get hot, White Sox.
  23. Not the right time for AJP. Too inexperienced combined with outspoken. It's not like he's beloved by all the players. Bring Renteria back as fill in if you don't want Ozzie.
  24. Awful at bats. Team looks dead (I know that's subjective). A lousy Cubs team owning the Sox in Game One. Bring in Ozzie or ask Renteria to be interim the rest of the season. Tony should resign now and go enjoy retirement. If they don't want to do this at the very worst demote the 3B coach immediately. His blunder was a factor tonight.
  25. I don't hate Harrison I feel sorry for him. He has no chance in MLB anymore.
