  1. Any clue what happened to Stone? Jason has been doing the game solo for the last several innings.
  2. And we all know how well Jerry responds to be told what to do. He'll double down on his 40+ years of how he responds to fans........"@%#& the fans"
  3. Well...... if we deconstruct that quote, it makes a lot of sense. "Accountability" is not a problem. Similarly, "Polio" is not a problem....... neither exists within this organization.
  4. Watching a legit manager against an imposter like Grifol is a stark comparison. It's sad to see us fail at virtually every aspect of baseball. The sadder thought is this clown show of JR, Williams, and Hahn aren't going anywhere. They are why we can never have nice things.
  5. My favorite team is the White Sox. My second favorite team is whoever is playing the Cubs. Anyone that doesn't feel that way is not a Sox fan........ brought to you by an OLD White Sox fan!
  6. God knows they'll need SP next season. Get the kid into a good throwing program this off season, stretch a bit in Spring Training, and start him in the minors for April and May to get him the length he'll need.
  7. The "compete in 2024" talk is just posturing to sell season tickets. They'll trade virtually the whole bullpen (hopefully), reduce payroll, and make scrap heap SP adds in the off season. Then this time next year is when we'll see Eloy and Cease moved. They will call this a "retool" or some such BS in the off season, but it's really the beginning of another rebuild.
  8. Hard to argue with any of what you propose. That said, remembering who owns this team, I'm 80% sure that Getz is the next GM. Only in Jerryland can all these incompetents keep getting promoted or kicked upstairs.
  9. Which is why in "Jerryland", the next GM of the Sox will be our minor league head, Chris Getz. This train wreck will get nothing but worse until Jerry is no longer in the picture.
  10. The schedule gets much easier after August 1 and the trade deadline (if handled properly) will erase any pretense of us being competitive. With the pressure off whoever remains/ is brought up, they are very capable of playing close to .460 ball the rest of the way.
  11. That's my biggest fear the next 2 weeks. If we're within 4 games of Minny before the deadline, the dolts on the FO will think we're in it. We need to be 10 back to feel "safe" they won't screw up the deadline. The only saving grace is JR is using his mouthpiece (Nightingale) to signal a purge is coming.
  12. Sorry for being out of the loop, but what were Kopech's off field issues? I'm well aware of TA's foibles but not Kopech. Thanks.
  13. I have the same numbers of homers as TA in the last year. WOO HOO!!!
  14. They ARE the Charlotte Knights
  15. They absolutely would have been far better. Everyone would "index" back one spot in the order. Graveman in the 8th, Kelly in the 7th (when he's going well), Santos/Middleton in the 6th (7th when Kelly starts to suck). Bummer and Lopez only pitching in "losing" situations.
  16. Spaghetti isn't the only thing Anderson is no longer getting at home.
  17. Raise your hand if you thought it was a good idea to let Jesse see the Toronto lineup a 3rd time? Sit down Pedro!!!
  18. The Angels announcers are laughing at Grifol. "Last night he took out his good defensive catcher in a tie game when you need D..... tonight they take Sheets and Grandal out when they're down.......huh?!?"
  19. Hopefully we're 20 under in mid-July and they sell EVERYONE. Keep Robert, Cease, and Kopech. Sell EVERYONE else, even if it's for pennies on the dollar. This core needs to be blown up so we can have a chance to reboot this thing. Of course, it's all folly as long as Jerry owns the team but at least we might get some players that we care about.
  20. Anderson is fine. The shoulder/day to day announcement was cover for pulling him after the bonehead play on the steal attempt. He was "counciled" in the dugout and was not happy. Magically an inning later and poof...... shoulder issue.
  21. BLOW........IT........UP!!!!
