Cease To Padres per Passan
The Sox need to put Cease in bubble wrap and we all need to pray to whatever deity we believe in that he stays healthy and effective through July 31. There will be injuries and lack of performance by some contending teams and a few surprise teams that want to "go for it". Getz set his price and evidently didn't budge. That's fine for this cycle, but if we don't deal Cease by July 31, 2024 then he becomes a 1 year rental and the price goes way down.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Failing to trade everyone except Robert is malpractice. This team will lose 100+ next year with or without Cease. Get max value now.
-
Soxtalk pod cast and their opinion of Anderson
I'm so sick of listening to JR and Getz talk about the talent on the team. We finished with 101 losses! Everyone except Robert and (maybe) Cease should be moved if we can get any value at all. And to them saying "we're just a couple players away from competing for the Central division", just stop it. The only 2 players we could add that would make us competitive are Ruth and Gehrig!

Kim Ng walks away from Marlins
JR will never hire Ng and appear to be bowing to pressure..... or common sense. Getz isn't qualified to be Assistant GM let alone the GM AND VP of Baseball Ops. He led arguably the worst minor league system (by W/L record and lack of development) in baseball. That gets you PROMOTED in Jerryland. Getz got this job for 2 reasons...... he'll work cheap and do EXACTLY as Jerry commands.

It was a great season!
Can't wait for SoxFest 2024!!!

Fegan writes "coaching changes..."
Talk about utter dysfunction. The team loses 101 games and the only change will be to demote the bullpen coach. Everyone else was part of the Grifol idiocy, a pipeline to the owner (Boston), or tied to our new pitching guru (Katz). Once again, NOTHING changes in this organization until Jerry no longer owns the team.

9/23 - It's a Bummer White Sox victory
Of course I was joking. If JR truly had his way, the broadcasters would be in a studio in Chicago (or better yet their basements) and use the opponents video feed

9/23 - It's a Bummer White Sox victory
No radio broadcast today. JR consolidated announcers, did a simulcast, and saved on expenses.

8/29 White Sox at Orioles. 6:05, NBCSN/WMVP1000
As over his head as Grifol is, I think Sosa did that on his own. Not smart on any level. Yeesh.

After an exhaustive search, Getz named GM/VP
That last concept always needs to be appended to any allegations that Reinsdorf wants to win, and assumptions that losing makes Reinsdorf miserable. It’s another form of the famous-to-me Cigar Aficionado quote about Reinsdorf’s m.o. from 1995: “Throughout the fall and winter, he was still driven by the dream: to create a World Series winner in a business climate that made sense to him.” https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-white-sox-are-getting-a-facelift-they-need-a-new-head/ Being in the AL Central is really a curse for us. Jerry (rightly) believes we can compete for division championships and playoffs every year by doing things exactly the way he has for 40+ years. If we were in the AL East, we'd be in last place every year and be eliminated from the playoffs by Labor Day. That would be enough for Jerry to "consider" changing his approach. Now, he can keep trying to win "his way" with sycophants throughout the organization and pocketing tens of millions from international and gambling deals before we ever break Spring Training camp.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
To be clear; Jerry's statement of (paraphrashaving here) having a single decision maker named by the end of the season, he is talking about an EVP/SVP of baseball operations. He's not talking about a GM. He's not consolidating Kenny/Hahn roles into one spot (as some have posted earlier). He's going to name the guy/gal for the "big chair". Then that person will find the GM...... and so on down the line. After reading 19 pages of posts, my brain is a little mushy, so please straighten me out if this is not people's understanding.
-
KW/Hahn - They Gone
Now I get it!!! When Hahn said he was going to hire a manager from a team with recent championship experience, he thought Grifol was with the CHIEFS! Now it all makes sense.

8/20- Sox at Rockies, 2:10
Hmmmmm, really? Watching on mlb.tv and didn't hear him.

8/20- Sox at Rockies, 2:10
Any clue what happened to Stone? Jason has been doing the game solo for the last several innings.

"Sell the Team Jerry" Game August 24th
And we all know how well Jerry responds to be told what to do. He'll double down on his 40+ years of how he responds to fans........"@%#& the fans"

8/13 White Sox vs Brewers, 1:10 PM CT
Well...... if we deconstruct that quote, it makes a lot of sense. "Accountability" is not a problem. Similarly, "Polio" is not a problem....... neither exists within this organization.
-
8/12 White Sox vs Brewers
Watching a legit manager against an imposter like Grifol is a stark comparison. It's sad to see us fail at virtually every aspect of baseball. The sadder thought is this clown show of JR, Williams, and Hahn aren't going anywhere. They are why we can never have nice things.

f*** This Organization
My favorite team is the White Sox. My second favorite team is whoever is playing the Cubs. Anyone that doesn't feel that way is not a Sox fan........ brought to you by an OLD White Sox fan!

Grade Rick Hahn's Trade Deadline Performance
Talk to me after the parade.

Crochet wants to be a SP
God knows they'll need SP next season. Get the kid into a good throwing program this off season, stretch a bit in Spring Training, and start him in the minors for April and May to get him the length he'll need.
-
Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
The "compete in 2024" talk is just posturing to sell season tickets. They'll trade virtually the whole bullpen (hopefully), reduce payroll, and make scrap heap SP adds in the off season. Then this time next year is when we'll see Eloy and Cease moved. They will call this a "retool" or some such BS in the off season, but it's really the beginning of another rebuild.
-
Fire Rick Hahn
Hard to argue with any of what you propose. That said, remembering who owns this team, I'm 80% sure that Getz is the next GM. Only in Jerryland can all these incompetents keep getting promoted or kicked upstairs.

7/19 - Chicago White Sox @ New York Mets - 6:10 PM CDT, TV: NBCSCH Radio: WMVP 1000 AM
Which is why in "Jerryland", the next GM of the Sox will be our minor league head, Chris Getz. This train wreck will get nothing but worse until Jerry is no longer in the picture.

This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
The schedule gets much easier after August 1 and the trade deadline (if handled properly) will erase any pretense of us being competitive. With the pressure off whoever remains/ is brought up, they are very capable of playing close to .460 ball the rest of the way.
