LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Sox Machine mention of Acuna's bat speed got me to think about Colson's turnaround. Acuna does have some tools to work with.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
The trade is cathartic, time to move on. I didn't have high expectations, but Acuna is fast, who knows he could be a fan favorite over time.

Wilbur Wood R.I.P...
I became a lifelong White Sox fan because of Wilbur Wood, Bart Johnson, Terry Forster, Goose Gossage, Bill Melton, Carlos May, No Neck Walt Williams, and Ed Herrmann. RIP Wilbur

DJ on Sox future...
Anyone of those guys could have a breakout season with the Sox. The Blue Jays Trey Yesavage started game 1 and is starting tonight in game 5 off the World Series, let that sink in,

DJ on Sox future...
2025 was the first signs of hope. I am not expecting miracles but 10-15 more wins in 2026 would be realistic.

Salary Cap exploration...
If there is a strike in 2027 it will be interesting to see how many current players are richer than the net worth of the previous owners at the time of the last strike. The owners of the 28 MLB teams involved in the 1994–95 strike included: Acting Commissioner: Bud Selig (also owner of the Milwaukee Brewers) Atlanta Braves: Ted Turner Baltimore Orioles: Peter Angelos (who famously refused to use replacement players during the strike) Boston Red Sox: John Harrington, representing the Yawkey Trust California Angels: Jackie Autry and Gene Autry Chicago Cubs: Tribune Company (owned the team) Chicago White Sox: Jerry Reinsdorf Cincinnati Reds: Marge Schott Cleveland Indians: Richard Jacobs Colorado Rockies: Jerry McMorris, Oren Benton, and Richard Monfort Detroit Tigers: Mike Ilitch Florida Marlins: Wayne Huizenga Houston Astros: Drayton McLane Kansas City Royals: Ewing Kauffman Los Angeles Dodgers: Peter O'Malley Milwaukee Brewers: Bud Selig Minnesota Twins: Carl Pohlad Montreal Expos: Claude Brochu New York Mets: Fred Wilpon and Nelson Doubleday Jr. New York Yankees: George Steinbrenner Oakland Athletics: Walter Haas Jr. Philadelphia Phillies: Bill Giles, owned by a group of partners Pittsburgh Pirates: Kevin McClatchy St. Louis Cardinals: Fred Kuhlmann, later sold to William DeWitt Jr. in 1995 San Diego Padres: Tom Werner San Francisco Giants: Peter Magowan Seattle Mariners: Jeff Smulyan Texas Rangers: George W. Bush and Edward W. Rose Toronto Blue Jays: Labatt Brewing Company, which was owned by a subsidiary of Interbrew in 1995

2026 lineup predictions
it has been mentioned that the Sox will not carry 3 catchers next year, nothing is written in stone but that is the buzz. Having Teel with Lee as back up makes Quero an interesting trade piece. Getz can test the market and see what type of return he could get on flipping Quero. If he keeps both Teel and Quero platooning for another season I am fine with that also.

2026 lineup predictions
Anyone think Braden Montgomery could be in the opening day lineup? To soon ? he has a little over 500 ab's in the minors. Braden could possibly be the right fielder if Robert is still in CF.

2026 lineup predictions
Sox 2026 home run production possibilities, a little better but if they could get to 185 -190, they would be in more games. Montgomery 30 + Sosa 25 + Vargas 20 + Robert 20 + Benny 20 ? , probably more like 15+ Teel 10 +

Getz 2025 Grade: your vote matters.
That is fair, breaking it down into a first half and second half. I gave Getz a higher grade because he was stuck with Pedro Girfol in 2024 and the remnants of a cancer clubhouse/organization that still lingered. Nobody has brought up that the Sox were about as low as you could get with ex-players, the media, and fans. In 2023 Kenyan Middleton got traded mid-season to the Yankees and he opened up how bad things were with the Sox. You guys know all this, but things were so bad it wasn't an easy fix. I give credit to Getz for bringing in Venable, who the players have taken to. All of that "clubhouse" cancer is in the rear-view mirror, there is a new vibe with the youth movement, and they are responding. If you want to point out things you don't like about Veneable's managing, that is fair also.

Getz 2025 Grade: your vote matters.
Interesting, I haven't heard that, do you have any sources? Who is being considered to replace Veneable?

Getz 2025 Grade: your vote matters.
It was mentioned that Burke and Montgomery are recruiting other members of the core to off season in Nashville. Montgomery and Vargas busting it down the line in the top of the ninth leading 8-0 in the last game of the season. They got something going with the youngsters.
