  1. That would be back to back to back double headers Sat-Mon.
  2. But yeah, looks like this one probably turns into a DH tomorrow. Which sucks.
  3. Hopefully if there is a roster move today, it involved Eaton and not Kopech.
  4. I mean the Sox play the Orioles for 4 games in there, so yeah. I’m gonna say you’re wrong.
  5. I would imagine Godwin’s performance in AAA has moved Sheets and Rutherford ahead of him in terms of opportunity.
  6. Haha yeah. That guy is ban worthy honestly. Next post he makes that adds something to the board would be the first.
  7. You usually b**** at people for posts just like this. Amazing.
  8. Based on the fact that he was hotter than a pistol the first 2 weeks of the season and hasn’t really been that great of hitter going on a solid month now. Just watching him he hasn’t been squaring up pitches for awhile now and most of his hits are little dinks. I hate that being realistic makes people think I’m rooting against Yermin or have something abainst him. I don’t. I just don’t think he’s a .300+ hitter or that his start was even remotely sustainable. Two big bases loaded at bats for him again today 3 innings in and nothing to show for it.
  9. If that is referring to me, I am not nor have I ever rooted for Yermin to fail. I think he's one of the best stories of the year so far in the MLB, should be a frontrunner for AL ROY and should be an All Star if the game was this weekend. I am 100% on Yermin's side on the TLR debacle. I also just don't think he's an elite MLB hitter. He has very good bat to ball contact and his 2 strike approach is a thing of beauty. But at least a quarter of his hits are squibbers and texas-leaguers and I just don't see that as all that sustainable in the big leagues, especially a below average runner. His hot start was amazing - I just think we've already seen the correction. His last month of production is pretty meh for a DH - there is no denying that. I hope like hell he turns into the next Jose Bautista, but I just don't really see it. Super fun story, and I hope he continue to prove everyone wrong. I am in no way rooting against him - but I am also not writing him into the DH spot for the next half decade with a Sharpie.
  10. Yermin's last 28 days: .263/.317/.388 for a .706 OPS. The dude can hit, and is fun AF to watch. But this probably much more realistic of the Yermin we see moving forward.
  11. They paid market, actually. Which is what is required to sign top of the line free agents. Which everyone bitches that the Sox don't do. Can't have it both ways.
  12. Leury in RF for Eaton against lefties makes sense. Historically he hits much better right handed than left, though not so much yet this year in SSS. I don't doubt Leury will still get some starts in CF as they're not going to run Engel out there every single day, but I'd be surprised to see it used as a true platoon as neither side of it hits righties very well and Engel is a much better CF.
  13. No more insane that batting Eaton 2nd. Grandal has a ,391 OBP, 116 OPS+, 126 wRC+. Pretty much any metric you use, he's been well above average. Its sort of tough to watch visually and certainly understand the frustartion, but getting him on base in front of the guys that can actually drive him in makes a ton more sense than getting on base for the bottom third of this lineup that isn't very good as currently constructed.
  14. Off crutches is a pretty good news. That means he can probably start light rehab. Maybe jogging. I am hopeful we'll have him back mid-summer. FWIW - Buxton sounds like he'll be off on a rehab assignment later this week. Obviously Luis' injury was more severe, but avoiding surgery perhaps made it sound like it wasn't a complete tear and perhaps a more mild grade 3 strain. Shortly after ASG return would be real nice.
  15. Guessing it hasn't happened yet or we'd be seeing twitter updates from the beat writers.
  16. Eh, not really sure there is a better option atm, but no need to put him in the 2 hole. Once Engel is back, Leury can play RF against LHP. Until then...I'd rahter Eaton vs. LHP than Billy. I think?
  17. TA, Moncada, Grandal, Abreu, Yermin, Vaughn, Engel, Eaton/Leury, Madrigal is probably how I would line em' up once Engel is back. Flip flop Moncada/Grandal if need be, but I feel like putting the slower guys together makes sense as opposed to Yoan following Yaz.
  18. I would tend to agree - but we're not anywhere near full strength. Based on the current roster construction, I think the 2 hole makes the most sense. Or 3rd, and move Yoan back to 2nd. Which is probably what i would do, but i doubt they move Moncada around right. Back half of the lineup then gets very, very right handed tho.
  19. Updates on Eloy and Luis that put them back in Chicago in late July to early August would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO damn good to hear.
  20. If anyone comes across a link to someone sharing the audio/video, please post in here.
  21. Didn't realize this was an ESPN game. Blehhhh
  22. Lamb or Mendick. My guess is Mendick cause he has options and Tony seems to like Lamb. I don't think Engel/Hamilton are all that redundant because Engel is going to play most days until Robert comes back. Hamilton goes back to what he should be doing which is strictly late inning defense / pinch running. vs. RHP: Vaughn/Engel/Eaton' vs. LHP: Vaughn/Engel/Leury. I assume we'll still see Leury take some CF starts against RHP, but you get the idea.
