2025 Potential Manager Candidates
I don’t think so, Getz has gone out the org for his key hires (Barfield, Bannister and Janish). I think he’ll do a search

Official NBA 22-23
Shocked that JJ Reddick took the Lakers job, seems like a bad opportunity. If he doesn't win the title, he's going to be labeled as a failure, plus LeBron can be a coach killer. Plus the team seems to be approaching the end of this window.

Fire Chris Getz
This is a tear down year, Getz has filled this team with stop gaps and guys who are only here to be traded. As the team acquires more good players as it starts to build back up this could mean a lot and help the team win more games. This is encouraging for the future

Don’t know where else to put this but the Sox offense is better than last year’s team when it comes to launch angle (2024: 12th/2023: 29th), walk rate (2024: 28th/2023: 30th) and ground ball rate (2024: 12th/2023: 29th). I don’t know if it’s coaching or the types of players they brought in but it’s encouraging.

If you draft Cags, let him be a two way guy and he gets TJ, the bat may not be the same once he returns. At the very least, you lose at least a year of development. If the bat is as special as people say it is, it’s not worth the risk.

To be fair, Getz never said any of that. That was all Jerry. I think it’s smart that Getz didn’t put a timeline on the team, it’s too early to do so. Why give someone rope to hang you with if you don’t have to.

I said this when they made the Bannister hire but when are the Sox going to make a similar hire on the hitting side?

Fire Pedro Grifol
I think you're caring too much about the bullpen of a team that is designed to lose 100+ games. Yeah the bullpen got worse this year, I think it may have something to do with Curt Hasler not being there but this is a team who is designed to lose 100+ games, so it doesn't matter.

Jose Abreu Released
Some people, a lot of people on here were criticizing the team for not resigning him. They dodged a bullet.

Game thread? 6/13 Game thread.
Crochet throws 30 pitches that last inning and he’s back out there? That’s fireable, this is a lost season, play it safe not stupid
-
6/8 Games
He’s not a MLB starter. It’ll be foolish to keep him as a two way guy

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
I dont get this, it's undeniably the best thing the organization can do for its self. Moving him and getting a big haul could set the team up for a long time.

I don't think so either but he's my favorite of the three pitchers

Current top 5 for the Sox in order of preference 1) Konnor Griffin 2) Bryce Rainer 3) Trey Yesavage 4) JJ Wetherholt 5) Chase Burns

Maybe Montgomery isn't going to make it.
They've been linked to another in the draft in Bryce Rainer

Maybe Montgomery isn't going to make it.
I think he'll be fine, the assignment to AAA was definitely aggressive, would have like to see him start at AA to begin the year.

I’d say they’ve been pretty good about manipulating their bonus pools. They’ve also shown a willingness to spend over the bonus pools on multiple occasions, to the fullest extend without incurring a penalty

Which doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.

I'm leaning Konnor Griffin right now. Give me the young, tooled up outfielder.

It might be a medical reason, the TJ he had in high school scares me and college teams aren’t known for doing what’s best for their pitchers with their high pitch counts.

I know that you shouldn’t draft for need but the Sox biggest system need has to be power right?

Schultz to Bham
This is good. Assuming health, there’s a non zero chance he’s in the bigs next year.
