This is one area where Beckham can actually provide helpful insight. He’s much better when he doesn’t have to fill dad air, or feels the need to fill dead air. They both are spot on here and it really speaks to the dysfunction still going in inside the locker room.

Even if everyone else hit their full potential, Vaughn as is would still be a disappointment. Granted, the team wouldn’t be so dependent on his production but it would still be suboptimal for his position.

I just wanted to echo all of this. AV needs to be a lot better. The lack of power and poor D really drag down any positives.

It’s so hard to choose honestly. Push comes to shove I’d have to go Eloy. Moncada at least provides excellent D at 3B when he’s healthy. If Eloy isn’t hitting, he gives you nothing. He’s the biggest flop to me.

Winning this catastrophe of a game changes nothing. Unfortunately it does further delay what should have happened ages ago.

I splurged on opening day, but that's the last time I buy directly from Ticketmaster. Most of my friends are only buying off the resale market now. None of us want to give money directly to this team. And if last night was any indication, fans in general are pretty fed up. They'll still get good crowds on giveaway days, but beyond that the park is going to be a ghost town all summer.

Playing .500 baseball the rest of the way feels like a tall task to me. 3 more with the Rays, then 3 with the Twins. Even if they win a game in that stretch, that's still a 1-5 to add on top of 8 straight losses. These games aren't even competitive any more. The hole they will have dug by the time they break this skid might just be too deep.

I'm not sure if he has an ounce of integrity or credibility left. There must be some fantastic perks for him, cuz he looked miserable yesterday trying to put any kind of spin on this debacle. Just resign dude, and go make gobs of money elsewhere.
