  1. Fire GarPax signs at the AllStar game in Chicago might have contributed too, but I might have my timeframe wrong.
  2. There were fire Tony chants the Sox home opener cuz we didn’t know what else to chant.
  3. <5K at the park all summer will have more impact than the record. They will blame us either way. They will always find a way to reach a new bottom.
  4. Too bad neither the major or minor league teams are worth watching.
  5. Plenty of reason to rip on Hahn without veiled sexism. Come on now.
  6. Replace the Simpsons family with the entire Sox FO…
  7. I expected a worse club in ‘23, but not a bottom dweller. Whatever anger or grief I felt over the past week+ is gone. Apathy is setting in early and I frankly welcome it.
  8. Can we fire the whole organization into the sun?
  9. Nope. If they win any of the next 6 it will be a small miracle. Even the Twins series looks daunting. If we thought that 8 game losing streak last season was demoralizing…
  10. I expected the worst but the Cease win actually had me feeling the slightest hope. Getting out with a split felt good after the two losses. But then the home opener happened and all positive vibes were swiftly stripped away for me. Circling the drain since.
  11. The Houston series feels like ages ago now. Escaping 2-2 actually felt something remotely resembling hope. Too bad it will be the high water mark in 2023.
  12. No Jon, this should read TLR wasn't the White Sox *only* issue in 2022. Let's not let anyone whitewash how awful TLR was, how he was always the wrong fit, and how poor a decision it was to drag is pickled corpse out of retirement. Brining him back set the franchise back, but so did the decision to go backwards by hiring him. He was catastrophically bad, but was also a symptom of the greater illness.
  13. The current draft pool slot system has been in effect since what, 2015 or 2016? And in that time the Sox tanked and had several years worth of high draft picks. Yet in all of that time they still don’t have a competent minor league system producing MLB regulars. Not even superstars, just average major leaguers. Fire the whole fucking front office into the sun already.
  14. Gio bounces and they’ll claim they tried to resign him. We’ll get a few dumpster dive SP signings, and more over the hill “depth”. Another trip around the sun with the same core of walking wounded and a whole lot of “IFs”…
  15. Cushy exclusive gig with lifetime job security, zero accountability, and no mandate to do the hard work of trying to be best. The boss is happy, and that is their sole job parameter.
  16. Pedro said all the right things before the season, but boy has the team not backed any of it up. Makes me wonder if he is more mouthpiece yes-man than legit manager.
  17. A competent GM could in theory build a winner under JR’s restraints. But would a competent GM work for the Sox? Could they? Would they ever hire someone who might actually shake up the ass backwards insular org? Seems unlikely. Being an incompetent sycophant seems like an org requirement.
  18. So they can draft a maxed out college senior underslot and blow the savings elsewhere?
  19. In retrospect, I think they were overconfident in their rebuild and took supposedly polished college players that would fit the same arrival timeline.
  20. Since we all know Hahn isn’t going anywhere, can we at least give him a good old fashioned booting?
