  1. Peters was an All Star and will be our starting CF for a while.
  2. Martin has to get his shlitter together and give the Sox a chance to come back.
  3. Problem with appearing to give up at the trade deadline is loss of attendance and media dollars the rest of the season and perhaps an inability to resign Murakami moving forward. Then 3 more games with the Cubs which could be rough.
  4. And unfortunately, a terrible starting rotation would be a good excuse.
  5. I like Point Special in bottles (I used to buy it in cases when I was going up there) but Binny's only carries Point in cans last time I checked. I will look for Great Lakes on your recommendation. đŸģ
  6. It wasn't "weird" to mention Noah's father. He is a great guy and an even better dad who has been there with Noah all along his journey to the majors, and he has been a big part of it. The White Sox have given Noah every opportunity to develop into a professional baseball pitcher and a starter. Unfortunately, professional sports is a business and as such, business decisions have to be made. In Darwinian terms, it is the survival of the fittest. Don't point fingers at the organization. That's a cop out.
  7. We need the Sox to give us a ray of sunshine...like beating the Yankees twice...decisively. Lost 4 out of the last 5. The next 11 could bring some order to the Division - Sox have 2 more with the Yankees, 3 against Tampa Bay, 3 against the BoSox and then 3 with the Guardians. There might be some help at the trade deadline, but maybe too late. Sox need to get it together now.
  8. I have read that the Sox will be reticent to trade prospects. If that is how they approach the trading deadline, don't expect too much.
  9. The dugout antics by Vasil are just a distraction, especially during a losing streak. Vasil shouldn't even be in the dugout.
  10. The organization has failed him? That is a rather provocative statement. Do you think Noah's father feels that way? Maybe ask Mr. Schultz to start with and then back up your outsized opinion with facts. Blaming an organization for failing in "player development" just points fingers in every direction other than at the player. Schultz has been given every opportunity. It is obvious that Noah has not been able to sustain control of his pitches or endurance beyond a few innings. What do you suggest the White Sox do with Schultz now? Develop him more in the Minors, use him as a starter or in the bullpen?
  11. Not a bad thought. Unfortunately, my friend Kyle Teel has made himself into a back-up catcher. He can no longer be relied on to stay healthy.
  12. Imagine if the Yankees had Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Carlos Rodon for this series. .
  13. Yea, sorry for the BB King, but it is what it is.
  14. Bad vibe in the midst of a 10 game mid-season gauntlet. The only positive that could be taken if/when home crowds start thinning out might be fewer young idiota shouting the same six notes from 7 Nation Army over and again.
  15. I disagree with their plan, but it's not my call.
  16. Sox indicated that they will not be trading prospects so they are not getting much of anything before the trade deadline anyway.
  17. Dominated and it does not feel good.
  18. 7 games against Yankees and Rays. Lost 1 so far. If we get swept 7 or lose 6 of 7, that will take the starch out of our underwear. Sox starting pitching has been exposed.
  19. and he is like 10 years older.
  20. He isn't any better than Quero.
  21. Minimally, catcher Luis Torrens from the Mets. Maybe Reid Detmers from the Angels. I just don't expect too much. Never forget...JR is a cheap fella. Me. I would go big. Caleb Bonemer and cash for Colorado catcher Hunter Goodman
  22. IMO, it would make sense to use Schultz in the bullpen for the time being. If he could provide one or two scoreless innings in a relief role, that would be huge. Conversely, two scoreless inning to start a game followed by an implosion in the 3rd or 4th, is not valuable to the team. Also, maybe as a reliever, Schultz would let it all hang out, especially with his fastball.
