Maybe if I post about the weather again they get this one in?  It doesn’t look great but what do I know ?

I'm seeing rain all day but ending between 6:30 and 7:30 so they might be able to get it in.

I don't know where to put this.  At times there is a lot of back and fort on this board.  I'm definitely guilty of a negative attitude at times myself.  That said ,I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend in whatever  they're doing.  Go sox!!!

Hope they get a window to play uninterrupted. It will be windy and cold, but if they want to play in that, they may be able to later on.

I hope they play, but I am expecting a DH tomorrow.  At least they got yesterday in - didn't turn out to be all that bad.  

Looks like rain from 4-7pm. Might be a night at the park where the game goes to 11pm or later if they play it. 

Makes the 1pm start time for the Saturday game even more dumb. Saturday games should be played at 3 or 6 IMO

But with the sh*tty weather all day and if it does rain until 7, what does that mean for the park crew? Can they get the field ready by 8pm, etc? Is it even worth playing if they can just do a double header tomorrow?

I’d rather get a game in with no fans. Double headers are harder on the body even if they are 7 innings

And with a DH on Monday, too.  Hope they can get it in, especially on the start of a holiday weekend.

I'd be okay with a double header. Our starters can go 6 strong and we won't have to rely on our bullpen as much to blow the games. 

Welp, the cubs are playing at wrigley right now.

 

With double dippers likely, maybe they could bring up Sheets or Rutherford.

From my radar it looks like they get this one in.

Seems like they tarp until around gametime and the rain should pass. That said, if yesterday's forecast is any indication for today, we shouldn't trust the forecast. I think the Sox were going to do anything to get yesterday's game in and assumed they wouldn't get today in. All of a sudden both seem very possible.

Anderson is back, Moncada off, Lamb in RF, Mendick at 3B.

Vaughn hitting 3rd.

Why is Lamb not playing the one defensive position he may actually be able capable of playing?

Mendick played well in RF. Would also start Hamilton over Leury to help cover the OF, especially with Lamb out there.

Not a big fan of not playing one of the best defenders in the league at 3B with Keuchel on the mound.  Yoan matches up way better against Harvey than Means.
