This is brutal by Cease. He’s let the Cubs right back into this game

he might be a #3 in a year or two but you can see his problem, can't pitch under pressure

that's obviously due to being a young guy but the issues he had to start the year are identical to today, not much has changed, so hard to watch

he wont start in any playoff game anyway.. might get used out of bullpen tho.

With how bad his command is periodically I wouldn’t even trust him in the playoffs for that. Electric but his command prevents him from being as dependable as he should be

Agreed. They shouldn’t have a problem with leaving him off the roster. Let him chill on bench.

What pressure?

Dude has all the run support in the world tonight against one of the worst lineups in the league.

Cease is far from an ace so of course you'll feel uneasy about him in a playoff game, but take a look at what other AL contenders will be starting in a game 4

Cease is as good or better than any AL teams 4th starter. For those that might mention the Astros, please look at how Valdez, Greinke and Odorizzi pitched in July.

October Rotation should be Lynn, Rodon, Gio, Kuechel.

You could even have Rodon go first.

Kuechel isn't the greatest option either, but he's at least a solid #4. Cease is the odd man out, barring injury.
