Not entirely different than Pujols, with Pujols' health issues dropping his numbers down a bit more. But who knows - Abreau might very well pull off a Cruz or even Ortiz twilight resurgence. I'm certain he understands the implications. Can the Twins come back and prove me right? I'm really hoping for a sweep and will gladly accept the shame and humiliation for thinking this team sucks. Since we cannot offer him a QO anymore, I'd offer him a low 1 year deal as a courtesy. If he takes it fine, if he doesn't we can solve our DH issue. Also fine with that and just having Pollock play LF and Sheets not being with the team. It’s not complicated really. The team needs to get more athletic and if Abreu signs somewhere else or retires, it would be a great opportunity to add a real corner outfielder and then adding Colas early in the year. Dude was plan A as part of the OF plan for this year and that failed. Can’t do it again this year. Can’t have Sheets, Vaughn or even Eloy out there on a regular basis.
