Do we start another streak today? No, I'm not talking about a winning streak...

BetRivers thinks the Sox will start another losing streak tonight making the road team Twins a favorite on the win line at (-162) and our mighty home team White Sox (+138) on the win line.

This has been the start I have had circled for Michael Kopech since the start of ST.  Beginning a little behind and with the recovery needed from his injuries last season, it was expected for him to be up and down through April.  Now is the time for him to get rolling

Kopech has shown good signs of a breakout lately so this start will be vital to whether or not he takes that next step forward.  He will probably be facing a heavy lefty lineup so the changeup will need to be thrown close to the zone to keep em off balance

Kopech has only thrown really one changeup anywhere near the zone this year so unless he focuses on it, he will need his A stuff with the fastball and slider.  When all else fails he will have to trust the fastball and let it rip

An overly ambitious prediction for today's start for Michael Kopech will be

5 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 3 ER, 8 K

Sosa was optioned yesterday.

I would assume the starting point for roster moves is him and Romy traded out for TA and Alberto. Lopez is probably hitting the IL too. Colas should be sent down to play. Katz should be fired.

Colas is where is needs to be.  The team just needs to not have blinders on with Sheets.  He has faceplanted in the field twice already this season and cost the team big both times.  Sheets should only play once or twice a week at most.

Colas has had a good two games in a row now at the plate.  He is finally making the adjustments to the pitchers adjustments.  This is the point in a prospects career that he must continue to play.  Anything else will either stunt or break a prospect

He is where he should be, but if you're going to sit the guy like 7 of the last 10 games or whatever it is, might as well send him to Charlotte to play every day.

Colas, may I remind you, has also blown it numerous times in the field recently. Almost twice in one game in fact against the Rays.

So? The Sox are losing either way. Colas is the Sox only viable OF prospect. Either let him take his lumps or send him down. Can’t have the one legit prospect rotting on the vine

You mean when the ball didn't bounce correctly and skipped off the wet ground on him....no one plays that ball perfectly

The other one he did drop.

So what, he has made numerous good plays out there.

Sheets made 3 errors on one play and fell on his face in RF

Romy dropped a routine flyball

There is no question who the starting RF is/should be.

Sitting Colas a few games vs tough pitchers is not a bad idea.  Don't read too much into it just yet, if it continues then we have a problem

Colas needs to play every day all year regardless of outcomes if the White Sox are going to have the most information possible on his future in the offseason. This is a losing season. It doesn’t matter whether we win 60% of our remaining games - we don’t have the talent to win the playoffs.

We need to assess the major league readiness of our best prospects and let them try to play through the rough patches.
