Reinsdorf: "No." What's worse is that Jerry could have effectively signed Machado to a 4 year $120 million deal since he was probably going to opt out anyhow. Ohtani suddenly figures out with the #1 pick next year...and sad state of AL Central division overall that he could be literally be a Rock Star there, and lead a relatively normal life not in a fishbowl.
