That would be 65-97 if they maintained that pace for AN ENTIRE SEASON. Of course, the Tigers didn't actually field competitive line-ups those last couple of games (after they clinched post-season positioning on FRI). The Tigers started 7 of their playoff starters in the final game of the season. Dude, you're just making s%*# up at this point.

Seriously though… does anyone else remember the rumors of the Sox being interested in Gallo for RF at the 2021 trade deadline because Adam Eaton was so terrible in his second go-around with the Sox on a one year deal? The Yankees ended up acquiring Gallo instead of the Sox, and he proceeded to fall off the face of the earth and become one of the most hated Yankees players of all time by the fans. Seems crazy that Gallo is only 31. Feels like he’s been around forever. In a disappointing trade deadline, Hahn instead acquired Cesar Hernandez from the Indians to play 2B, who was equally as awful as Gallo, and also added reliever Ryan Tepera from the Cubs. Right in their supposed competitive window and the best Hahn could do at the deadline was Hernandez and Tepera. They then went on to get spanked by the Astros in the ALDS. My point is if you bring in a Gallo and some of these other old guys to play for a 105-115 loss team, why not have some of our old faves back? They'd be more popular than these new oldies we acquired. We coulda got Tim Anderson cheap and the folks who don't wanna rush Colson could be happy. We coulda acquired Madrigal for pennies and played him over whomever gets the 2B job. Abreu coulda played 1B over Gatto. And on and on.

"Galloween"...no way Getz would allow that when we supposedly kicked out all the bad apples from 2021-2023 teams. Maybe Jose Quintana...depending on price.

February 14, 20251 yr Anyone remember when Gallo turned down an extension from the Rangers in 2021? Bad career move, as he’s earned around $30 million since then instead. Still rich but ego and listening to Boras fucked him out of a lot more money. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/rangers/2021/08/01/rangers-contract-extension-offer-left-joey-gallo-scott-boras-with-a-question-no-counter-offer/?outputType=amp Quote The Rangers, according to a source, made Gallo a five-year offer worth $84 million in guaranteed money with incentives that could carry its value to more than $100 million. He and Gallo passed on the offer without a counterproposal. Edited February 14, 20251 yr by WhiteSox2023

Konnor Pilkington. He was a pretty good prospect at the time but never fully panned out. Signed a minor league deal with the Nationals in December. Meanwhile, after being with the Sox in 2021, Cesar Hernandez’s career only lasted one more season with the Nationals. February 14, 20251 yr Playing MLB the Show must have biased me because I kinda like Gallo (as a NRI who is more likely than not to never play for the Sox).
February 14, 20251 yr "Gallo, Dominic Fletcher and former highly-regarded prospect Oscar Colás could compete for reps in camp." mlbtraderumors.com Hahaha...

February 14, 20251 yr As someone mentioned on X, adding Dalbec and Gallo as NRIs is going to put more pressure on Vaughn. I have a feeling Gallo makes the team and gets some starts at 1B and in the OF against RH pitchers. I'm not going to expect anything from him, especially based on his stats over the last few years. But maybe this will light a fire under Vaughn's ass.
