Does Palacios have to lead off just because that’s where the usual RF Tauchman would be? I realize the majority of the lineup sucks but Palacios should barely be on any MLB team’s roster, much less starting AND leading off. Awful. Even if you don’t consider matchups, Venable apparently thinks his best chance of winning it to give the most potential at bats in each game to a guy who should be in AAA and is only on the team due to multiple outfielder injuries. I’m losing faith in Venable quickly. A bunch of small questionable decisions can add up to make a difference when it comes to wins and losses.
