I am still amazed how Robert makes difficult plays look like a can of corn. Great jumps combined with great speed. His defense is absolutely elite.

RR did not want to hurt Grandal's feelings by not starting him on Opening Day. He could have just switched catchers, Too easy. Or, he could have switched pitchers and have Keuchel start the opener, but then Gio's feelings might be hurt. Can't have that either.

Oof, that lineup I understand not having Grandal catch a day game after a night game, but presumably Ricky knew he was going to do this so why not have McCann catch Giolito last night and face Berrios who he has hit 4 career HRs off. McCann should never catch Keuchel.

A three-player Taxi Squad -- which every team is expected to carry on all road trips -- must feature at least one catcher, while the other two players can be either pitchers or position . Or Luis Gonzalez . He did pretty well in spring and summer camp. But I'd definitely guess Goins. They will not use Madrigal in an emergency that would screw up the service time.

It was the right move to pull him. Cishek just made an awful pitch. If Cruz is going to hit one off him, needs to be a slider.

again, it was pretty obvious Keuchel was at the end of his pitch count rope and they were bringing in a reliever. the team signed Cishek to pitch baseballs in games that matter. He gave up a 3 run homer. how the fffff is that Renteria's fault?
