International sporting competitions are all pretty great. Kind of hard not to get into the “USA USA” spirit and think, “These fans of the other country are dicks.” Then again, so are ours. Fun game. Turned it on in the 5th for the Bard meltdown. DeRosa left him in too long. The Turner slam was fantastic. Can’t wait for tonight v. Cuba.

I’m not invested in any particular team, more certain players on different squads, I just want fun baseball to prevail. These games have been awesome and the atmosphere seems incredible. As others have said, how can you not love this?

THAT is what the Sox need to do this year. Take advantage of those extra bases when they are given. Those little things make a huge difference.

My 2nd year in high school (1970) I went through a period where I would go to games just to hang around her organ . had a massive crush on her, and they weren't winning too many games that year.
