  1. Tuesday around noon central we will be performing scheduled maintenance to upgrade the forum software. Should be down for 4-8 hours. Note: When it comes back online the new software is different (same forum software but a material upgrade). The color and skins for forum will be fine tuned over the next week after.
  2. Thank you admins for the work you put in. I know it's a labor of love that people like me can enjoy for free. I'm sure I speak for others when I say that we appreciate what you do.
  3. I’m not sure what happened - server company was doing normal maintenance and whatever they did it took all our sites down. Been working on fixing it for a few days - so appreciate the patience and apologies for the outage. It might be a bit choppy while we optimize it. If you run into issues - clear your cookies. If you are running into issues let us know. Apologies for outage. Quite a few nights where I was up until 3 am (after work and after putting kids to bed) trying to figure out what server company did.
  4. I'm spending this week having to type in the full name of every single website and password from having cleared my cache so many times on every computer and phone I could put my hands on. The work you guys do is truly appreciated. The fact that so many are expressing notions of addiction should tell you how much you're all relied on. Thank you very much.
  5. Every god damn thread turns into the same thing.
  6. Maybe for the White Sox it is, but putting together a team that might not lose 100 games is far from miraculous in the normal world.
  7. And there is no way I was thinking "what am I gonna do now???"
  8. Obviously the injury sucks because Teel won’t be ready for opening day. But couldn’t the blessing in disguise be that Lee makes the roster to start the season instead of being dumped for nothing and is then possibly slipped through waivers and outrighted to Charlotte once Teel is ready?
  9. Don't make me argue in the Sox Machine comments ever again
  10. Big reason Smith was in late over Raleigh.
  11. Spring training is purposeful. Methodical. It’s not a needless extra curricular activity
  12. Oh that's a terrible call
  13. Well, it all depends on how long Fedde lasts. Are they playing to win in 2026, or more concerned with protecting their prospects? I think everyone knows the answer. They'll probably go to Cannon or Sandlin. Even if Schultz actually was 100% ready...you still don't sacrifice a year of control of a potential ToR starter ... not for a franchise that historically never goes for Tier 1 FA pitchers.
  14. This is great news - If he can get back to who he was pre injury I think it will make a big difference for the rebuild.
  15. Hagen’s line looks good. Nice to see.
  16. Sounds like its not a large tear. It will be a rehab and throwing program mostly likely to see how it responds.
  17. Being optimistic, sounds a bit more precautionary and less "I felt a ligament tear"?
  18. I was scouring the net trying to see if this site was down or worse! I even tried to post a Reddit thread looking for you guys! Does this site have a Twitter account to announce anything when these events happen? I just kept thinking "I will never hear from these guys again"!
  19. Was wondering what was going on. Haven't said much but it's my hangout during the season
  20. Something tells me that they're not related, I just can't put my finger on it.
  21. Like it or not when Ishbia takes over as is the case the vast majority of the time, highly successful people want their own individuals that they have hired and who are loyal to them in place. Unless Getz, Boyer et al do something miraculous in the next two-three seasons odds are they and most, if not all, of the Sox organization on the baseball side will be unemployed. And if they continue to lose 90-100 games for the next two-three seasons you can bet your life that is exactly what is going to happen.
  22. But if a White Sox player gets injured stepping out of the shower, it's because Jerry Reinsdorf directed Chris Getz to personally NOT teach players the fundamentals of how to step out of the shower.
  23. You can get injured stepping out of the shower. The point is, these guys are going 100% hard in March. Spring training is relaxed and they ramp up the effort.
  24. Thank you for your effort to get things back to normal.
  25. History will/might judge numerous countries around the world for the economic fallout from those lockdown decisions skeptically (inflation or the loss of commercial real estate)...but it certainly felt like the right thing to do those first 3-4 months. Millions of mostly older peoples' lives, those with pre existing conditions were definitely at risk. The US nursing home situation hit home particularly hard...and it didn't discriminate by nation, Hong Kong and NY suffered equally. The worst part was the relentless uncertainty of yo-yoing back and forth for another two years (online teaching was fun and then it just became extra work and training teaching two classes at once)...and seeing empathy die out for one's fellow human beings, even the guinea pigs and countless cherished personal pets were massacred here in China. Hopefully that sense of human empathy that disappeared behind faceless white suits...treating neighbors like cattle, never returns again.
  26. Say what you will about Bauer, but our boy just squared off against him in the cage!
  27. well i dont see how a man in a wheelchair would be useful for that. the house cleaning part. because they're in a wheelchair. oh yeah i should figure out a way to let you all know i'm disabled before i say something that sounds like someone who was being rude would say. also the top areas of rat field are really complicated to get to for anyone little alone someone in a wheel chair.
  28. I will leave on an NCAA basketball game with two teams I have zero interest in, just because he is calling it.
  29. I will be honest, it might have gotten him in the door at the beginning, but it is no where near why he is one of the best in the business. I can't think of another person in sportscasting who has the versatility that he does. He sits down in three different sports and sounds like he does any particular one of them all of the time. He's sits down with different partners and sounds like he has been on the air with whoever it is, forever. He has a light touch, and is perfectly willing to get his partner engaged as much as possible. Dude is one of the best in the business.
  30. I look forward to the day when Ishbia finally takes control of this franchise. My hope is that a massive house cleaning of the organization quickly follows that day.
  31. Another hot take. Benetti is fine, but he wouldn't be as revered and acclaimed if he didn't have a disability.
